Does the full 6gb read (meaning being used) on the macbook pro once installed? i heard the mbp mid 2007 has a max of 4gb and thats all it will use.

I don't know about MacBook Pro. But I successfully installed this 6GB dual card (4GB + 2GB) for RAM expansion in my mid-2007 20" iMac. According to Apple support, my mid 2007 iMac's RAM could only be expanded to 4GB. So far so good with the 6GB expansion. I breathed a little more life out of my iMac.....
