Even tho the Super Callanetics tape is quite advanced, it is no problem at all to fast-foward thru the exercises that you are not ready for and only do the ones that you are strong enough to do. The video is a little dated when it comes to dress/make-up, etc., but the production is good and easy to follow. The exercises themselves are very unique: core exercises that focus on building strength thru tiny, gentle movements in the area you are working. Relaxing new-age music plays in the background as you exercise, but is never annoying. About a half-hour at the beginning of the tape is Callan herself demonstrating the exercises on the tape. The rest of the tape is the workout itself, which takes about an hour and 10 mn to complete if you do the entire thing. I would highly recommend purchasing this video over the regular program along with the book aforementioned, and working your way up. The production quality is better than the original video and the workout more closely follows the one laid out for you in Callan's book. Matter of fact the one girl doing the pelvic rotations at the end of her second set looks at Callan, smiles, then rolls her eyes (not sure if it was do to the strenuousness of the exercise or at Callan, but it is really obivious and really funny. I think I backed the dvd up like three times to see her facial expression and yeah it's there). This dvd is more technical and shorter reps on certain exercises and longer reps on others. There are more exercises on this dvd, that are out of her 10 Years Younger book, and that is a plus for me. I have the book as well and even though the exercises are written out in great detail, it's easier for me to learn by actually watching someone do them. If you need more exercises to go along with the book, than this is the dvd for you. The only down part for me is that the participants on the SP dvd, seem to me ballet professionals. On her 1st dvd, all though some appeared to also be professionals, there are plenty of people in the group are just regular people like me. I like to watch regular people doing these exercises, because that lets me know if they can do it, I can. If someone appears to have taken ballet or dance there entire life (NOT ME) than it kinda discourages me. Cause believe me I am not a dancer, nor do I have grace, or finesse of a dancer. That is my only complaint, I know people get all tore up about the hair, leotards, make-up, music ect., ect., but I say who cares? Just look past it and watch your body evolve, it's unbelievable!

Excellent tape for all exercisers

Oh my side...

Callanetics is super
I started exercising with Callan Pinkney back in the 80's. While using it back then, my body stretched 1/4 inch, so that I reached 5 feet for the first time ever! Awesome! Super Callanetics is understandably advanced from the beginner Callanetics. If you jump into this one without starting with Beginner Callanetics, you may find it more challenging to learn the various positions correctly, and do the exercises. Callanetics is a safe, easy, individually progressive exercise program that is safe for most people. And, Callan makes suggestions for adaptations to the exercises for various physical ailments. Progress according to your ability. Don't jump in full bore. You'll want to pace yourself as you learn the proper positioning. The exercises, while slow, work deep muscles that many other exercise programs do not reach very well. If you require a fast paced program to feel like you have accomplished something, this program is not for you. However, if you don't mind slow & deep, and you want to get an overall shaping while you strengthen, this is a GREAT program that will do the job.

Good, but very hard, and quite a long workout
I love Callanetics. It really works. However, after doing all her Callanetics dvds, I find myself going back to the AM/PM one, (I do it all in one go) and on the next day I do the Stomach, Hips and Behind, and Legs , again, all in one go. That way I get more stretching in as well, as each section has a great stretching section. I found the Super Callantics extra stomach exercises "non-doable" for me, and Callan does comment that you need exceeding strong abs to do these last two. They also go on for a VERY long time, at which point I just fast forwarded. This wasn't my favourite tape of all of them. If you do the Stomach, hips,behind and Legs DVD as one entire workout, you will incorporate many of the exercises in her books. I also did not like the tempo of this dvd. The stretching exercises etc are just done much faster. The thing I enjoy about her tapes is the slow, peaceful feeling I receive by doing them. Didnt get this with this dvd.

She's Def Camp, but This Really works!
Ahhhh Callan.....how do I love thee? I love how her work out really does work, toning deeply and effectively. But you have to get to like her or she could drive you a little crazy. One thing she says on here always makes me wince "If you don't have time to do 20, just do 10 in double slow time and you will get just the same results." >.< This workout is for you if you need to be gentle on your joints or if you are happy doing an isometric type of work out. The movements are tiny and gravity is your resistance. It looks like you are doing nothing, but wow! It gets better and better the stronger you get. It's not the most fun exercise video I've ever had, and I have P90X, The Firm, Turbo Jam, Jillian Michaels, Bryan Kest Yoga, even Raquel Welch Total Beauty and Fitness. For toning, nothing beats the Callanetics! You just have to get your cardio somewhere else.

Low-impact, joint-friendly, modified barre exercises for toning and relaxation
I bought this a set with Quick Callanetics, AM/PM Callanetics, and the original Callanetics workout. As I stated in my reviews for the other products, I have been doing this workout on and off for about 10 years. It is very effective to tone and tighten up quickly. It's a good workout, and I always feel very calm and relaxed, yet energized afterwards. If you are unfamiliar with Callanetics, it is like a combination of yoga, pilates and dance stretches. I do break a sweat, and it takes a couple of months before I can do the whole thing without having to take breaks, but it is not as uncomfortable to do indoors as the treadmill or aerobics. I alternate this with walking in the park and gym workouts. Although I have the books and the VHS, it was time to get the DVDs.

Everything went very smoothly with this service. This is a super good work out ! I've used this before, but lost the DVD. When I did these excercise before I lost inches, my body toned up in weeks what would have taken months to do with regular excercises. 一番効果あるエクササイズです
古いものですが、いまだに欧米では愛好家が多いのは やはり「効く」からだと思います。 20年前に購入したDVDが、引っ越しでどこかに 行ってしまったので、再度購入しました。 残念ながら、到着が予定よりも大幅に遅れてしまったので 内容とは関係なく☆一つマイナスで。 しかし、販売店の対応は誠実で良かったと思います。

Superb!
I had already gained a lot of benefits from the previous Callenetics DVD before the Super Callenetics one and I thought I would give this one a try. Am I glad I did, I absolutely loved it. A couple of the exercises I was unable to do, but will work my way up to those, it is now a big challenge! I would recommend that anybody wishing to do Callenetics though, to first of all master the "Callenetics, 10 years younger in 10 hours" DVD, as all the positions, exercises and stretches are featured in the Super Callenetics DVD plus more advanced moves. Excellent exercise programme!

Geheimtipp...
Diese DVD bzw. das Programm ist weder neu noch wirklich "geheim", aber einfach wunderbar. Die Übungen sehen leicht aus, haben es aber in sich. Resultate sind wirklich bei regelmässiger Anwendung und gesunder Ernährung verblüffend schnell zu sehen. Besonders gut finde ich, dass man hierbei schlanke lange Muskeln bekommt. Wie oft habe ich mich mit normalen situps und Co gequält und dabei wurde zB mein Bauch immer "dicker" , statt wie ich es wollte, schlanker. Die Erfinderin ( mittlerweile verstorben , Gott hab sie seelig) Callan hat hier was echt tolles hinterlassen....laaaange bevor es Pilates und Co gab. Toll. Unbedingt ausprobieren.

Arrived without delay. Exactly what I expected. I owned this workout years ago and worse it out so this is a replacement and I’m happy it was still available.
