Reference Premiere RP-504C II Ebony Center Channel Speaker

Needed to upgrade my front soundstage, going with the second Gen RP. Pair this with the RP-8000F II, and you got a solid front soundstage. This is a big center speaker, so don't be surprised when the huge box shows up. Arrived with 2 puncture holes in the box, but no speaker damage, 1/16" corner peel, won't see it when setup, to little to worry about. Dialogs are crisp and clear. If you're in no rush, set price alert so you know when it goes on sale. Got this on sale, saved $250....

Nice center channel speaker. Sound quality is that of a more expensive speaker. I upgraded from a small Energy center channel and this one really shines. I have it connected to an Emotiva Amp.

This thing vastly exceeded my expectations. Driving it with an Onkyo TX-RZ820. The bass is shockingly good. I didn't expect bass from my center channel but it's there in spades (down to 60Hz). According to my stereo's test set-up microphone system, this thing performs exactly as advertised with regards to frequency response. Amazon says it's often returned. I suspect that is because of the shape - it looks like a sound bar. It's not a sound bar that you connect directly to a TV. It is a speaker that must be connected to an amplifier.

The Full System: I went all in—left and right channels, center speaker, surrounds, subwoofer, and two in-ceiling speakers for Atmos. The synergy between all components is incredible. The sub adds just the right amount of low-end punch without being overpowering, and the Atmos setup takes the experience to another dimension. Final Thoughts: Klipsch has absolutely nailed it with the Reference Premiere series. These speakers are a statement—both visually and sonically. If you have the space (and can embrace the size), you’ll be rewarded with a home theater experience that’s second to none. I’m officially impressed, and while I may not be an audiophile, these speakers have me feeling like one. Highly recommend for anyone ready to upgrade to big sound.

I added this center channel after my front towers and subwoofer, mainly to improve dialogue clarity, and the difference was immediate. Voices are now much clearer, more defined, and easy to understand, even during scenes with heavy background effects. It blends perfectly with my Klipsch fronts and, powered by my Marantz Cinema 50, delivers clean, balanced, and precise sound. Definitely an essential upgrade for any home theater system.

If you’re thinking that this won’t make a difference .. you’re wrong. This replaced my R-50c. Still in the Reference Series but better quality speakers and build. I have a full Klipsch Reference Series Atmos Speaker system and my speakers are now complete and have never sounded better. There’s bass from the center as well as from the fronts, surrounds and (2) 15” subs. It’s compatible with any receiver with a center channel and bare wire setup. Very happy!

I was looking for a more realistic sound of voices compared to a two speaker main channel speaker (so that I could understand what they were saying). I do like the more immersed sound from the much larger speaker. However, I still had to increase the power to the center speaker by 2 dB to fully get the most of clarity of peoples voices. Which was the primary reason for getting the larger speaker to begin with. It definitely adds to the overall quality of a surround sound system.

A few months ago, I upgraded to a set of Klipsch RP-8000F II tower speakers (which I absolutely love), but that created a new problem. My old center channel, the R-52C, was vastly overpowered by the tower speakers, and dialogue was hard to hear even after adjusting levels. The RP-504C II was the perfect solution for this problem. My home theatre sound system now sounds well-balanced, and dialogue is easy to hear. The center channel is the most-used speaker when watching TV or movies, so it doesn't make sense to go cheap on it. I have a decent-sized living room with only a half wall between the kitchen and 12-foot ceilings. The 504C II does a much better job at filling out this space. A bit of warning, this speaker is huge! It was too big to mount on the wall under my projector screen, so I had to find something to put it on temporarily until I find a suitable table.

Excelente sonido, se distinguen las voces y efectos centrales sin ser cansado de agudos o medios. A considerar el peso y espacio que ocupa, es bastante grande y pesado. Excelente producto. Recomiendo que quede a la altura de los oídos o inclinarlo para que de el ángulo de escucha directo.

Upgraded from an R-25C and this thing blows it away with a bigger presence, better lower frequencies and overall richer sound. I’m currently running old R-26F’s with it until I can afford some RP towers. Surprisingly the 504C II plays very well with the older cheaper reference line. A bit expensive but once you have it hooked up and settled in you could never go back.
