Is there a trick for not filling the air with this?

Below are steps I use. Get a helper or two if possible. Put ticking case inside a large trash bag. Hold ticking case open. Turn bag of feathers upside over and slightly inside ticking case. Remove wire from bag of feathers and open slowly. Allow feathers to drop into ticking case. You will have to reach inside feather bag to pull into ticking case. Fill ticking case to the desired fullness. If things get out of hand, quickly pull the strings on the black trash bag to trap feathers.

Has anyone actually used this to restuff couch cushions? Wondering how much I'll need to order.

We needed to plump up the three back cushions on a medium sized three seater couch. 5 lbs worked perfectly. We weren't filling the empty covers, though. I'd say they had become flattened by about 50%. We ordered 10 lbs. It came in two 5 lb bags. We asked about returning the unused bag. What they did was the next time they had a 5 lb order (about 3 days later) they emailed us a label to send it on to the new customer, and gave us a refund. Outstanding customer service.

About how many cushions (20inx20in squared and about 5 inches thick) will a 10 lb bag stuff?

I used it to stuff pillows. Feathers wouldn’t be my choice for cushions as they would breakdown with a person’s weight. Foam would be a better choice. I can tell you that I used it to stuff two king and two full sized pillowcases.
