Best dishwasher pods. Allergy friendly.
These dishwasher pods are great. They have no odor. When I open the dishwasher after running the cycle, the smell doesn’t set off my allergies. I was concerned about how clean my dishes and glasses would be. They are better than the Cascade that I used for decades. Great purchase!

So Far, A Great Improvement Over Our Last Choice
I stopped using non eco-friendly dishwasher detergent years ago. I have tried many eco-friendly ones, and I ALWAYS count packaging in my choice. I will not buy plastic bags or big plastic tubs of even the most eco-friendly product. And until recently I was happy with Seventh Generation powder, the boxed version. But in the newest batch I was using, I had increasing problems with dishes coming clean and also a residue left on dishes. I was about to get a new washer, but instead looked into alternate detergents. I am now trying two--AspenClean and Dropps. Environmental Working Group rates Aspen more highly than Dropps. I am finding so far that both work very well. Dishes feel clean, no food residue, easy to use. AspenClean is kind of pricey but I'm willing to pay more to keep noxious chemicals out of the environment. If my evaluation changes as time goes on, I will update this review.

Great customer service from Aspen Clean
These are great dishwasher pods. They work really well and I appreciate that they are Environmental Working Group verified, so I know they are a high quality natural option. I wanted to specifically write a review, because they are also a really solid company. I ordered these in January and when I went to open a new package this weekend (it came in a three pack), many of the pods had burst in transit. I emailed the Aspen Clean customer service about the issue and they got back to me right away (on a Saturday no less), and told me this was a known issue and that they would replace the box of pods right away. I sent them a screen shot of my Amazon order and they let me know a replacement was on its way. I felt it was worth noting this, because good customer service isn't aways a given. This company identified an issue and they are actively working to fix it, and are quickly resolving the problem for customers. That means a lot and I was very impressed. High quality product with a high quality team behind it. Thanks Aspen Clean!

Great product! Issue with packaging.
I did a lot of research and I believe that it is the best dishwasher pods on the market if you want to stay away from harmful chemicals! One problem. The individual pods packaging is easy to break and when the container arrives sometimes half of the pods are broken with powder spilled out. When it is 2 or 3 broken ones, I usually do not complain, but last shipment 15 out of 28 were broken, it was too much, so I asked for replacement and new ones sent were perfect! So, I do not know what the problem is? Bad quality control on the Aspen side?! I still will be buying it as I love it minus the packaging issues!

I will keep buying these pods
I'd recommend these pods. I used to use another brand of eco pods, but they had a lower rating on EWG's guide. These specific pods from Aspen are EWG verified, meaning that they meet EWG’s standards for health and safety. I was skeptical at first, given the controversial reviews, but they work well. They are not amazing, but they clean effectively enough and are safe. I have an older version of a dishwasher, and they work just as well as the previous pods I was buying. Glassware is cloudy sometimes, though. I'd recommend trying them at least, but I will keep purchasing.

causing something sticky to accumulate on the drain filter
Initially I rated this 5 stars when I started using it 18 months ago. Unfortunately over time it clogs the washer drain with a grey odorless sticky residue. It feels like the glue on the back of a roll of duct tape. It forms thick films that prevent the washer from draining/cycling properly. You could address the issue by frequently scrubbing that filter, but it's quite difficult to remove because it's sticky like glue. It's nothing like the sort of food residue you'd normally expect to be on the filter. I suspect it's coming from the "Polyvinyl Alcohol Polymer" in the wrappers. The wrappers feel extremely gooey and sticky if you touch them when wet. The material doesn't seem to be toxic, but looking at the uses for it, it does look like it would have the ability to cause exactly this problem. Edit: It's been around a year since I switched to Blueland pods, and they don't have this problem. They don't have a wrapper at all, which I think is the key difference.

Packaging could be more secure. Pods not fully dissolving.
Update: after trying these for several months now, the pods have started geting stuck in the dispenser so i often have to run two cycles. Additionally, i yet again received a package with a bunch of loose powder inside. I didnt even bother this time checking to see how many damaged pods there were this time. I will just return it. The condition of the product upon arrival being so inconsistent and the fact it is not fully dissolving during cycles anymore made me decide to switch to a different product. Too bad because i wanted to love this product! Original: I have been gradually switching out all of our beauty/cleaning products with "cleaner" products and dishwasher detergent was next on my list. It is ewg verified which means no hidden ingredients - excellent start. My first purchase arrived and when I opened the Amazon packaging, the lid was off and all the pods were loose in the bag. I went thru that first container and have been very happy with the results so I decided to subscribe. My second order of these arrived and the container only had 4 pods in it! The Amazon packaging was well sealed, so either somebody swiped 24 pods and then returned an almost empty package OR someone in Amazon swiped them. Either way, based on these two experiences, I would suggest that this company may need to find a better way to seal their containers so they are more secure/tamper proof. The replacement order for the second one with only 4 pods in it arrived in perfect condition with all pods in tact. I will continue to use unless there are consistently issues with not receiving the correct amount of pods.

Pleasantly surprised a natural dishwasher pod could clean this well!
I've been looking for a natural dishwasher pod that actually worked. It's apparently a thing that these commercial pods which are famous contain endocrine disruptors which cause hormonal and reproductive issues. Not to mention plastic melting all over your dishes. I try to get natural cleaning products whenever possible, but my experience is the natural stuff just DOES NOT clean well. I found these listed on the EWG wesbite as better than an A rating...They got a verified EWG rating. I've tried these twice now and both times the dishes come out sparkly clean! I am very happy to find a reliable product that works and is healthier for my family. Sometimes it is hard to separate savings from health, but these are worth it. Get them on a subscribe and save plan in bulk and it isn't so bad. Glad I finally found something worth using.

Great non-toxic pods
Best clean and nontoxic dishwasher pods we’ve used! We tried so many and were unhappy with their efficiency, smell or both. But the aspen pods are great! They clean well, don’t leave any residue, and don’t smell strange.

Honest review not promotional
100% vegan formula 99.6% of the total ingredient are from natural origin. Reviewing this product after couple of uses, I am really impressed with the results doesn’t leave any residue and any smell. Clean and EWG verified. I like the packaging which is 100% recycled paper. I recommend this product if you are concerned about harmful chemicals then this is the best product for dishwashing.

Arrived 'broken' pods fell apart
Love this brand and these pods. My go to soap - however...this order came with all the pods in the sealed container broken. Sent seller email with my concern. No reply. Not sure if they were damaged in shipping, they froze in the vehicle during delivery or they are old and fell apart.
