Sugarflair Blue Food Colouring Paste Set 4x 25g - Concentrated Paste Food Dye for Cake Decorating, Fondant, Buttercream, Cake Batter and More - Vegan, Kosher, Bake-Stable

After struggling to make red velvet cake using whole tubes of gel food colouring from the supermarket, I used some Ruby Red from this pack. Instead of the washed out pink I got even from well-known branded food colouring, the result from Sugarflair was a lovely, rich red from a very small quantity of the paste. Definitely more effective and much better value for money than anything in the supermarket baking aisle.

No taste, good quality, very concentrated which means you use less. Colour develops quickly. Washes off quickly good value.

Good quality food colouring which was easy to use. Thick consistency, I mixed before I took out in bits using a cocktail stick. I used in fondant icing which worked well, add in a bit at a time to achieve the desired colour. Wear food safe gloves to protect your skin. Colours evenly as you kneed the fondant. I also used in buttercream, and cake mix. Mixed in well, even. Tip with buttercream is mix buttercream until as pale and fluffy as possible... then add the colouring. Pastels were easy to achieve however if you want to reach the deeper colours, some of them you do need quite a bit of paste. Expect blue tongues 👅 No taste to the paste which affected the taste of the fondant / cake. Daughter was happy with her birthday cake, as was I. Not sure I would do one which needs so much food colouring next time. The pack of 4 was the better value for money and was a nice add to my cake making bits and pieces.

Sugarflair green food colouring paste set 4x 25g: This arrived very quickly! They come in a nice cardboard display box, hygienically sealed in plastic film, well protected from a bumpy delivery. They last extremely long as they are very concentrated. The colours are true to name, though each one can produce different shades, depending on concentration added. There is enough different shades provided to give a whole palette of greens without needing to buy additional colours . They are very good value for money as a set, and it works out cheaper than buying individually. I definitely would buy again and I will once I have finished these ( at this rate of the paste concentration, a good few years at least!) I would recommend this to both professional bakers/cake decorators, or even home bakers looking for something better than supermarket liquid colours.

Overall good , pigmented colours. One of them was really thick and I would say a bit annoying to use, but still manageable. I have used this brand a lot and they never disappoint colour wise. These are paste colours very concentrated which makes them perfect to use with fondant and merengue as they are not liquid. They stain a bit but tge colours are strong.

Greatly for buttercream. Easy to work with. Lovely colours too

Great value for money...and colours are true to the picture on the website....dont need to use much to begin with and just build the colour slowly

Hatte bisher noch nie Lebensmittel als Paste. Muss sagen, bin sehr zufrieden! Die Farben sind wirklich langlebig und braucht nur eine ganz kleine Menge um bestimmte Sachen einzufärben. Denkt dran: Handschuhe dabei anziehen! :-D hatte ich vergessen und habe die grüne Farbe nicht richtig abbekommen. Geliefert wurde als Set mit verschiedenen Grüntönen. Allesamt super! Gerne wieder bei Bedarf!
