Only used once so far with a turkey. Was the first time doing a smoked turkey. We injected it with a butter/herb combination and inserted the probe. Gave us good readings with us ending up with a perfectly Smokey turkey.

My Pit Boss pellet grill didn't come with a probe, so I bought this 2 pack. The first one worked for awhile and I would give it 5 stars, but it burnt up when I was searing a steak. So, they work well on lower temperature cooks, but not if grilling on high temperature. I still have one more and I won't try using it when searing a steak.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Perfect companion to a PID controller upgrade, and they actually work A little context that might help other folks landing on this listing: I'm running these on a Z Grills L600D that I upgraded with a Smart WiFi Universal PID Temperature Control Board. The stock Z Grills controller didn't have probe ports compatible with aftermarket probes, but once I swapped in the new PID board, these 3.5mm plug probes slid right in and fired up immediately — no fuss, no configuration needed. I've put these through about 10 cooks now — chuck roast, baby back ribs, chicken — and they haven't missed a beat. The first thing I did when I got them was test the accuracy against a wireless Wi-Fi probe I already trusted, and the two were within half a degree of each other. For monitoring a low-and-slow cook where you're chasing a precise finishing temp, that's more than good enough. Honestly better than I expected from a third-party replacement probe. Build quality is noticeably solid. The stainless steel cable feels durable, the plug seats firmly in the controller port, and the probe tip itself is slender enough that it doesn't leave a gaping hole in the meat — something I actually appreciate when I'm trying to keep a nice bark intact on a roast. You get two probes in the pack, which is great if you want to monitor two cuts at once or just have a backup on hand. The included grill clips are a nice touch too — they hold the probe against the grate securely when you're checking ambient temps rather than internal meat temps. One thing worth noting if you're doing a similar PID controller swap: just make sure your new controller has 3.5mm probe ports (most universal PID boards do). If it does, these are plug-and-play. Zero setup, zero guesswork. For the price, getting two accurate, well-built probes is a no-brainer — especially if the factory probe that came with your grill has died or you're upgrading your controller setup like I was. Highly recommend.

Great product.... very nice and works perfectly

I’ve replaced my probes that came with my pit boss KC combo with these and they function perfectly. Very impressed with them and their durability. Highly recommend these as a replacement. I like the colored ends to help identify which probe is which. Makes it simple to remember! Will edit review if something changes but I’m very happy with them so far!

Works great

Have used this about three times now and each time the temp is incorrect by a lot!! I have ruined expensive cuts of meat as a result. So disappointing. Dont waste your money and get the real ones not these cheap ones
