I was looking for an affordable camping knife and was excited to see this one come up in D2, which is one of my favorite steels. The fit and finish are great for the price, the only potential problem is that the tang is slightly proud of the scales, which might cause a bit of pain trying to grip for long periods. I will change my review if the knife doesn’t hold up to abuse testing. Comes very sharp out of the box, not hair whittling but a good functional edge the glides through cardboard. UPDATE: I used some wet/dry automotive sandpaper (2000 & 3000 grit) to round any hard edges on the handle, it did not take very long and I was not aggressive to get it feeling great in the hand. The knife survived some very light batoning with no damage to the edge. Whittles just fine, but it is big enough I don't think it would be my first choice because of the increased risk of having such a long exposed edge. I'm happy to have found a good around the ranch work knife that won't need sharpened very often.

Sharp looking knife. Quality looks good. Haven’t used yet so don’t know what kind of edge it keeps.

Just got the knife, so this is just an unboxing review. No surprises when i received it, it came exactly how it looks in the photos. It seems like a strong stout knife with about 4 mm spine and full tang. Jimping is done nicely and feels fine pushing with thumb. The blade has a very polished mirror finish, and came very sharp. D2 is stamped on the blade and the steel seems to be quite hard. The sheath fits tight and should work fine, although I think black leather would have looked much better than brown. The handle has a larger circumference than other knives of this length/size.
