Will it stand up to a road trip with multiple stops being collapsed and opened multiple times?

This did not stand up to a 4 day, 3 night quiet road trip with a 14 yr old (sedate) cat. It's flimsy and cheaply made, period. The only good part is the pearl litter, which was awesome.

What are the inside dimensions? Wondering if I can insert a disposable pan.

Can we cut the entrance hole bigger - more of a rectangle or would that structurally ruin it? The circle entrance may not work with my cat.

It's a pretty sturdy box; I was actually surprised at how well-build and structurally sound it is and have used and reused it several times. I don't see why you couldn't cut a rectangle in the entrance hole!
