This makes gardening easy to do. This is durable and made sturdy and well. This is a digger that takes the guesswork out of planting bulb roots like my tulips and Lily’s. The handle is long so there’s no back breaking bending. It’s lightweight and stores easily. Great choice and affordable. Works well.

This worked for transplanting plugs from a plush portion of the lawn to a bare portion. It cut through the ground decently well with a little twisting, the ejection function is simple and straightforward, and the handle is comfortable and at the right height Only drawback is it doesn't feel like it will last a long time. After about an hour’s worth of use, the main pole had twisted a fair bit so the foot holds were no longer aligned with the T handle. This doesn’t really effect the function of the tool, but it does cause some concern about its longevity. Would I buy it again at this price? Absolutely. No doubt. I needed it to move a couple dozen plugs and it did the job. But if I needed to use it for much more than that, I’d get a sturdier tool.

Heavy duty and very easy to use. I used it to take plugs from my creeping thyme to transplant elsewhere in the yard. First I dug the transplanting hole with the tool, then made the plug and dropped it in the hole, and then used the dirt from the hole to fill where I took the plug. I am 81 years old and found it very convenient that I didn't have to dig or bend over much. Highly recommend.

Mine broke after 25 or so plugs. Works great in soft ground. I needed this to take plugs of good grass to move to bare spots in my lawn. The ground is not super hard but certainly not garden soil soft. The foot tab that you use to press the plugger into the soil after about 25 or so plugs was bent down. I tried to bend it back up and it broke off. Maybe I should have heated the metal, but I don't have a way to do that. So be aware that if your soil is not soft, this is not the tool for you. The tool is not useful to me now.

Got this to get grass plugs out to reuse after we have septic work done. St Augustine grass. The description says it's made to use for this purpose. Nope. Not only is it not sharp enough to dig into grass without using brute strength and even then it takes more than one attempt, but it doesn't dig deep enough and doesn't pull out a whole plug. Basically, it would be fine for planting flowers in a bed....that's it, though. Returning. If you need to dig sod plugs, rent something from local nursery or buy a heavier duty tool.
