Taste and smell is very good

I was given an Olde Thompson pepper mill with this Supreme Blend peppercorn in it as a gift many years ago. I had always previously used pre-ground black pepper that you get in a can. When I took a whiff of this mix, I was amazed at how fragrant and good it smelled. I couldn't wait to try it! Ever since using it, I haven't kept pre-ground pepper in the house for years. There is so much flavor released from peppercorns at the moment of grinding them, it's like night and day. All of your dishes come to life when you fresh-grind your pepper from a mill when needed. And of all of the pepper mixes I've tried, this is my favorite. Black, red, white, and green peppercorns all mix together giving it a complex flavor that complements almost any dish. It's a fresh and flavorful blend at a reasonable price. There's no going wrong with this!

When I bought this pepper, I was looking for something with good flavor but also to enhance the esthetics of a classic grinder. I think the mix of different colored peppercorns looks fantastic and the taste is great. A big step up from simple ground black pepper. Quality is good for the price paid.

This is our favorite whole pepper blend. It gives great taste and depth of flavor to our meals. We love fresh pepper, and we like this a lot.

There is one wedding gift that I received and still remember and even use 20 years later. That is an Olde Thompson salt and pepper set with Olde Thompson Pepper Supreme.I long ago exhausted my supply of Pepper Supreme and have refilled many times. Occasionally, I have bought other brands but always regretted it as some of the corns would not fit the grinder (or other grinders) properly and created a blockage that required sorting them out from the rest of the peppercorns. I believe some of these were allspice, which is not included in this pepper blend. While I might like more of the non-black variety than this offers (the pictures are a bit deceiving in this regard), this is a good blend and has served me well, look for it by name now.Growing up I was not a fan of pepper and honestly didn't think much of it until I received the grinder and started using fresh ground pepper. There really is no comparison. If you haven't used fresh ground pepper treat yourself. Buy a pepper mill and this pepper and find out what you have been missing. Find out why every recipe calls for pepper and why most specify fresh ground.
