Didn't work

Needle was at about 50 volts when I opened the box. I wired it in anyway to see if it would read my 240 volt AC line; nope, dead. One of the connection studs was loose inside the unit. Anyway, it didn't work. Amazon is sending me another one and I'll return this one. Hope the second one works.
