Easy to set up looks great and sounds great. This was a gift and it has style and is perfect for a home office. I love how cool it looks and how nice it sounds. It is legit audiophile at a very seductive price point. And it has everything you need. Love the style and fit and finish and the performance. Recommended

Worth every penny
This is an excellent sounding system. I use it to play CD’s. I have it on a shelf in my family room and it provides the room with excellent playback. I have yet to use the Bluetooth or the radio. It’s been worth every penny to us.

Was not impressed at first but there is a way to make it better for free
I have read several reviews of this product and I ended up purchasing it for my small office space . Upon powering it on, I was instantly repulsed by the sound quality of this system. That's until I found a solution to enjoy the full potential of this system. Don't use speaker grills and don't use the foam plugs they included with the speaker pair. They made the system sound flat and lifeless. I noticed weird smell from receiver while unpacking it from the box but smell dissipated somewhat. Build quality is superb. Remote control is very easy to use. Addition of subwoofer and upgrading of speakers may improve the sound quality further. I also noticed CD player is finicky. Slight scratch or fingerprint/grease on underside of CD will cause it to eject by itself but gives no error message or reason why it rejected it. If it spits out the CD, try cleaning the CD until it accepts it. Update 8/6/2021: So one day I turned it on and tried to eject the CD that was inside and it would not eject it. All I heard was ticking noise. I had to send it in for warranty repair. I had to wait close to a month before the unit was returned. Fault was determined to be with the CD deck.

Tuner is very iffy - goes on the blink daily
Good morning - thank you for following up. To answer your questions : 1. I purchased the Denon RCD M41 hoping to replace the faithful Bose Wave system (2006/2007 model) in our bedroom. 2. The Denon M41 CD plays fine, disk after disk. Similarly the Bluetooth connected iPhone. No issues. When I use the tuner, it would play fine (really beautiful rich sound, solid reception) for a while, and then when I get back to the system it is silent, just sitting there, still displaying the preset station etc, but no sound. The tuner display will show the tuner hunting for a stable "station". I would change the channel, and it may or may not play. Switch back to CD - no problem. Typically this error does not switch off the unit, but it has once or twice completely gone red light shut down on me. Not typically though. I did the reset procedure once or twice and reprogrammed the presets. Error is there, intermittent - happened again last night. The system is well ventilated, not an obvious issue regarding overheating. Don't get me wrong - when it plays, it sounds great - but the tuner is not happy. It picks up interference from internal circuitry or from the environment. And this is the exact same spot where the Bose performs well, no interference on the Bose tuner. I was so looking forward to enjoying the Denon M41 system - but this is a big disappointment. Will have to investigate how to return this product and reinvest in a new Bose.

What a sound!
I am a 51 years old music lover who wanted to get something close to what I grew up with back than, namely a decent (possibly A/B type) amp with a decent enough power (back in that time was a 70 Watts/speaker) output for a medium sized room in my house. Plus the "wife acceptance factor" had to be calculated into the deal since I knew that beforehand that I was not gonna be able to place a full size (nor did I really want to) system for thousands of dollars and a tall, space demanding floor standing speakers anywhere in the living room. We have the space but.....okay, I was about to downscale my dreams of having something small but still pristine/stellar sounding. Even though I have found so many great and well priced amps and bookshelf speakers on the market from all directions of the world that could have made a close to perfect match in heaven for my needs, I decided to give a chance to this little beauty after a long debating with myself. The debate was all about the size and not at all about the brand (Denon is still undeniably one of the top consumer amp makers....) because I was concerned about the size of the speakers. Okay, 30 watts per channel is a good enough output, I really did not need anything over that level of loudness. But will it sound full and clear with the small pair of speakers it comes with?? Yes, it is good enough!!!! Clear and lush! Sounds so lively and distortion free even at a really high volume that is just stunning. It is a system for anybody who wants to have a stellar sounding unit while saving a lot of space and an equally great amount of money. Some people switch the speakers out for a bigger bookshelf or standing speakers with all the success. I think I'm gonna stick to the original speaker pair but in the future I will add a smallish subwoofer to the sound just to have that extra bass oomph to torture my family with. Honestly, when I listen to electronic music (I listen to anything and everything) , most of the time I don't feel the need for any extra bass because those really deep base of the songs from this genre of music doesn't cry for anything else on top of the bass reflex boxes can produce. But when it comes to a little bit less bass accented mixing of some of the older records now that's when I feel like a little extra lower frequencies would not hurt the sound as a whole. It is an incredible value for this very well made and stellar sounding Mini System!!! Highly, highly recommended!

nice Mini HiFI system
I bought this because I was dissatisfied with the Pyle 800 Watt system I bought and the LG 700watt System I bought.....I like it having separate Bass and Treble Controls, the CD Player, and Bluetooth....I also like it that I could add a Powered Subwoofer to it to really bring out the bass...the Tuner is alright but i bought a dipole Antenna instead of the one that came with it which really improved the reception. it goes quit loud. I am using this for Audio only instead of for my TV since I have a LG Soundbar hooked to my TV although it if goes bad have the option with Optical inputs with this system to hook it into to instead. it has a small footprint and doesnt take up a lot of space. If one critique I would make it needs better speakers. the Speakers that came with it our fine but I would have liked brighter sounding speakers. It needs better tone controls...for Bluetooth I had to download a Equalizer App which greatly improved the sound combined with the Subwoofer I have hooked up to this system. Anyways you can't go wrong with this system....sure a little pricy for the size but it is worth it.

Excellent Mini system from Denon
I bought this Denon DM-41mini stereo system in order to revisit my large collection of CDs and it has made it a joy to listen to musical favorites. The unit itself is very compact and fits well alongside my cable tv box in a tv cabinet/stand. All the controls on the Denon are easy to operate and have a high quality feel to the components. The combo receiver/cd player has a pleasing heft to it and everything operated smoothly. As for the most important thing; the sound is excellent for such a compact system and the Denon bookshelf speakers are quite good with adequate, but not earth shattering bass levels (consider a powered sub woofer if you want more punch). The included remote makes it easy to control all settings on the fly. Bass, treble, panning and bass boost can all be adjusted via the receiver controls or the remote. The Denon can also use Bluetooth to receive signals from portable devices and it paired easily with my iPhone and iPad. I did want to listen to the unit via a pair of Bluetooth ear buds so I purchased a combo receiver/transmitter module that I plugged into the headphone jack and the earbuds paired perfectly; now I have the option of listening in private. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend the Denon DM-41 to anyone that wants a quality no-frills mini system for a medium to small sized room.
