It performs as noted and works best with a large (space/size) SD card.

For the price, this does its job remarkably well. In the iOS universe, they don't go out of their way to make anything like this particularly user friendly, but that is no reflection on this device itself. It is actually plug-and-play in all devices. Insert the SD card and then VOILA! you have access to the contents of that card. On newer iOS devices (I believe it is iOS 13 and up, which most phones after 2017 have) it will allow for both the reading and transfer of files. For non-technical jargon, you just need to navigate to your FILES app (search for that on your phone and it'll be there). Now the tough part is that you'll need to click the top-left corner and you'll see spots like My iCloud, iPhone storage, etc. This is usually going to be near the bottom of that list, but just click on that and you'll see the files that are on the card. If you want to transfer photos from your iPhone to the card, just select them all in the Photos app and click COPY. Then hold down in the FILES app until PASTE appears, and there they go. There are other ways to transfer between those two as well (such as the Send To function). Another bonus is that this device will actually let an additional lightning cable connect to it and charge your device while it is reading/writing from the SD card. That's not terribly amazing, but it perhaps allows some people to always leave this dongle attached for active video transmission or something of that nature. Basically, this thing does its job and it does it fairly well, without much fuss. I also like this design because its elongated Y shape allows it to connect to a PC, even if the USB ports are vertical (imagine if the different "tongs" went out to the side, it just wouldn't fit if there is anything else in the surrounding USB spots). Finally, another major reason why I bought this device was the USB C prong. This helps future-proof it and allows the transfer of documents/data from a large assortment of current Apple, Android, and PC devices as well as those that will be made in the future. Starting with the iPhone 15, those will all use USB C. So if you are looking for a transfer device in the year 2023, this will cover whatever phone you have in your hand right now AND presumably any made for the next few years as well. I score this a 9 out of 10, and we'll round up to 5 stars.

I love this. It makes it so easy and quick to load pictures. The Bluetooth on my camera isn’t working so this is wonderful!!!

So here I was, dreaming of a magical little device that would whisk my iPhone photos straight onto an SD card like some kind of tech fairy godmother. Spoiler alert: this is not that fairy godmother. Instead, I found myself in an emotional standoff with my phone, this card reader, and a growing suspicion that I should’ve read the entire product description instead of skimming and thinking, “Yep! That looks like it’ll do the thing!” Now, in its defense, this SD card reader probably does work, just not for what I wanted it to do. It’s like showing up to a party with snacks and finding out you were supposed to bring ice. Helpful, yes. Just not in the way I imagined. So learn from me, fellow photo hoarders: double check what direction the files go before you get emotionally invested.

Love this didn't work for what I bought it for but works great with other things. I think you will love the fact it fits different plugs.

I have many family movies I keep on a USB to safe guard them. Now I can watch them directly off this device. It won’t read .avi files, but mine are all saved as .mp4s so they work nicely, I fine 32 gig USBs work the best, but they will read 128 gig USBs only there is a 30 sec jitter at the beginning, unless I wait for it to, I guess, load, visually. Anyway, this is why I wanted it and it works. Also I can move the files into different folders or onto other people’s ipads. Very happy.

Sehr guter SD-Card-Reader (SD-Card oder Micro-SD-Card erforderlich), bei iPhone/iPad mit der vorinstallierten App „Dateien“ verwendbar, wird vom PC problemlos erkannt. Habe ihn nicht unter Android getestet. Perfekt wäre es, wenn der Reader aus Metall wäre und etwas kompakter. Aber auch ohne dies voll empfehlenswert.
