Made In USA or not? It says yes in one place but China in another place on the Amazon description?

Thanks for bringing that up. This hammer is made in the U.S. We will make the necessary changes to the description.

Does this hammer have Eagle logo on the head as shown. I've seen ones that don't actually come that way

Yes, the hammer I purchased has the eagle logo. I’m a finish carpenter & I’ve been using estwing hammers for years. I bought this one to hang in my shop and use around the house. I’m extremely pleased with it.

I am shopping for a light hammer for my husband. Short handle or long handle? Thanks for any advice.

You can't go wrong with either size handle. The estwing hammer you are looking at is a very nice hammer, I have both long and short handle and love them both. I use short handle one for finish work and use long handle for framing. Either size your husband will be happy with.
