I bought 3 of these and with just the installation, the gold has rubbed off (pics are each of them)!!!! I’ve not even had them in place a week and did not use 2 of the sinks! If I didnt need these to sell my house I would return them. Unfortunately none of the local stores carries gold finish. Save your money get something else! update- after less than a month after install, the rubber is warped! this is seriously the worst quality ever!!

Fits and works
Trying to get a replacement stopper can be tricky. The diameter of some older sinks makes replacement difficult to source. This sits on top of the basin ring. Remove your old stopper, install this. Seals, goes up and down with the existing pull knob. Done. I have replaced my other sink also. The wife is happy. Works.

I had the same issue as many others - finish started coming off and tarnished withinn2 days.

Eh … not worth it
The finish is not clear and shiny but will suffice. The fit in the drain is fine. The section for attaching the movement arm makes no sense: there is a long opening with what appears to be three different places for the movement arm to go into. However, these three sections aren’t separate holes but just one long opening making it pretty much worthless. The fourth opening, at tje very bottom is fine, except if you need something higher, you are out of luck. The design simply makes no sense. Once connected the stopper does move … about an ⅛ of an inch. The water is stopped in the basin and will drain, albeit very, very slowly. If you want it to drain faster you need to reach in and lift the whole assembly yourself. It will move upwards about ⅝ inch, allowing air bubbles to escape and the water to drain quickly. It works, just very poorly. Don’t bother with this product unless you have tried multiple others with even less success.
