Good quality outlet
Wires enter from side for easier routing instead of rear like some other outlets. Uses large brass screws which are needed to properly torque large diameter wire.

Careless packing
As described and works as should. Didn't give 5 stars due to careless packing. I originally ordered 2 and received 2 different outlets. Had to return those and order 2 more.

Great quality and affordable
Leviton is probably the best known and brands for this type of electrical device. Personally I will always use Leviton or Hubbel or one of the other well known brands - "no-name" should never be an option in electrical work. These tend to be very pricey at electrical supply houses but here on Amazon you get the top quality receptacles for a very good price.

High quality, easy to install
Replaced a different 250v outlet with this one to use with a small stick welder. Installation took about 5 minutes in a standard 2 gang wall mounted box. I bought a trim plate for it at a local hardware store, but you can also get the plate on Amazon, depending on the type of box you install it into. Quality is great, should last forever in my garage.

Perfect for making a welder extension cable.
I bought a SunGoldPower 200 amp tig-stick welder from Amazon, and due to limited funds, didn't have the money to purchase a 25' dedicated welding extension cable. So, I used this to fabricate a 25' welding extension cable out of two construction 25' extension cables. Works GREAT!
