Does this product somehow come refrigerated?

None of the sellers will ship it refrigerated. Actually, although it is best to keep these probiotics refrigerated after opening, it is not critical that they be refrigerated throughout the shipping process. In general, this directive is for the consumer to ensure they store it refrigerated, particularly after opening, although you would not want the item subjected to high heat over an extended period of time. Although the product is not kept under refrigeration at the Amazon warehouse, it is supposed to be climate controlled so as not to be subjected to extreme heat However, I must tell you that the manufacturer itself does NOT ship this item under refrigeration. Although it is absolutely best to keep it under refrigeration, especially once opened, we are aware that Renew Life has done stability studies at high temperatures with excellent results.Also, they put in MORE probiotics to compensate for any slight loss over a period of time, so that they guarantee the number of live active cells at expiration date.  In any event, our product is not stored any differently than any other vendor that will be shipping this product through Amazon fulfillment. Hope this answers your question.

There is only probiotics(the good bacterias) but it is a very high count. The food you eat should feed the bacterias. These do not need prebiotics.
