The Unemployed Philosophers Guild Abraham Lincoln Little Thinker - 12" Soft Stuffed Plush Doll

My husband works in a building named after our sixteenth president, so he is used to receiving Lincoln-themed gifts like bobble-heads and brass busts. This stuffed doll, which is actually a rather large size (about 16 inches) is a bit different. I think it's funny and charming sitting on a bookshelf in his office. The doll seems well-made, although my husband has not been tossing it around, so I don't know how it would stand up to hard play by children. But I can't imagine many young kids who would be playing with a presidential doll. I like the doll, and if you are looking for a gift for President's Day or for someone named Lincoln or for a politician, this might be just the thing.

We just returned from a trip to Washington and my son, for some reason, really wanted a stuffed Abe Lincoln. We scoured the gift shops in DC and no one had any....why? Good question! But, this is America. And if you want something bad enough...and are willing to work for it...or, type in Amazon....then capitalism wins. It's large....it's stuffed....and it emanates freedom. Just like the real Abe. It's a cool plushie and my son was very happy. It's a "bean-bag-esque" body which allows him to sit and watch over you.....or a play.................(dark humor sells.)

I found this Lincoln doll to be made well. He is dressed as Lincoln would have dressed. He is a delight to add to my collectio of all things Lincoln. I didn't get him to be a toy but to be mine. He sits beside all the Lincoln books and papers I have collected over the years. Totally different than anything I have in regards to Mr. Lincoln. He will be a treasured and loved Lincoln item for someone who loves and admires Mr. A. Lincoln. I would most assuredly suggest this doll for all Lincoln collectors. Barbara E.Snyder P.S. These little dolls are so cute and my 5 year old absolutely loves them! Very durable and has handled a couple of times in the washing machine already! If there is a negative here, Abe’s pants won’t stay up. So after a while of seeing Abe’s bum, I put a few stitches in his backside to keep his pants up. We love these dolls and wish they had all the presidents!

Got it for my grandson, Lincoln. It looked perfect, was perfect, and is perfect. Bound to become an heirloom.

Doesn't really look like the one shown. The one that arrives looks off...unlike Abe Lincoln...maybe a bit like after John Wilkes Booth situation - and the hat and face is smashed and creased from being packed in a bag and shipped.

His pants won't stay on. No, seriously! and his foot is now about to fall off. So, a good decoration piece, but he will need some extra care if he is being carried around daily.

This little guy is so well loved by all that meet him! People want their pictures taken with our Abe Lincoln. He is very sturdy and makes for cute décor too.
