Not the exact replacement part for my compressor, but it works and has not yet failed and got me back up and running for a fraction of the price of another part.

Not sure how long it will last (it is Chinesium after all), but when no parts stores had one available, Amazon got it to me and I had the AC unit running again in less than 36 hours. sLowe's required over a week to ship an equivalent, nothing available from Homez Depot. HVAC repair places won't sell parts unless you pay an extortion fee for a "diagnostic check". Yeah, I have a brain and a multimeter, I know what's wrong and which part to replace, no thanks. This was a perfect replacement for a GE cap that's no longer available, although it's lifespan is probably questionable.

Fixed the outside air conditioner not running.

Easy replacement, just be careful of stray current and use insulated gloves and tools to make your connections. Perfect fit and brought my AC unit back to life.

I was telling my employees just the other day to open the panel on the R2D2 and snap a picture of the capacitor and contactor coil the second you get a new home as if the outside fan or compressor don't turn on its 98% the cap, 1.9% the coil, or 0.1% the compressor. Sure enought 2 weeks later I return from vacation and the HVAC broke the next day. I could tell the compressor wasn't turning on (no loud noise...just the r2d2 fan and couldn't feel the oil running through the outlet pipe). Got this bad boy and replaced my 5 yr old cap (yeah it was only 5 yrs old) and got cold air again! My only gripe is the promised by 4PM if ordered now 2 day really was 6 day. I needed the part yesterday amazon...stop lying about the shipping time. I just ordered another two. Spend $12 to save $400. Also the replacement took 7min. You need a hex nut removel (1/4 drive/drill), long screwdriver w/ insulated handle, and needle nose pliers for the job.
