What I Like About Me!: A Book Celebrating Differences

Love this book - it has so many different diversity pages and not just about the way we look. We really the school lunches page describing how cultures eat different things as well. Our toddler has enjoyed it and requests to read it more often than not. We look for diversity books that aren't just boring differences and actually have themes and fun ideas that kids can relate to and this is it! Recommend to parents starting with young toddlers as we started reading this when ours was 18 months.

Love the diversity represented in this easy to read book with just such a great message for kids to learn young to love their differences. Plus a really cute mirror at the end that’s always entertaining for babies. Also a great size for travel.

I bought this book to teach kindergarteners about personal differences. I think it's well written in the fact that it celebrates the features that children could end up being teased about (braces, freckles, big ears). I don't like that it's a board book, and that it is so small. It makes it hard to have as a read-aloud to a class. However, I do love the message that we each have something to celebrate about ourselves, regardless of how we may be perceived by others.

I love the message and the awesome sensory aspects of this book! Such a fun book and perfect for read alouds for a class- just be ready to pass it around!

Some of the rhymes aren't very well written but this is a good starter book for a baby/toddler. My son LOVES the mirror on the last page, he's absolutely mesmerized by it. I kind of wish the other pages were more interactive, maybe some strings for the wavy hair, tin foil for the braces, and stuff like that. Overall it's okay but I don't reach for it as much as I would if it was more interactive. It's a good message to send to kids and for that reason it was worth the purchase.

I absolutely adore this book which celebrates the differences in all kids and provides a special place at the very end, with a mirror, for a small child to see themselves, and comment what they like about themselves! Lovely book!!!

This book is fabulous, the kids i look after love this book, its a perfect way to get them talking about their differences and similarities. thinking about what they like about themselves and boosting their self esteem is great and this book helps me to do that with them.

Demasiado pequeño, demasiado simple. Parecía más atractivo. No lo volvería a comprar.
