This is one of two PCV valves in this vehicle, make sure to replace both. Good quality, easy to replace.

PCV valve saved the day.
It was amazing when I found out just how much oil I was losing through the normal PCV valve. This new PCV valve stopped all the oil loss that I was having even when I was on the verge of getting a new engine because I thought the engine was losing oil through the cylinders. It was just this little PCV valve I replaced that was at the root of the oil loss problem.

Quality Part, But Use The Old One
It's an authentic GM part that fit properly, but I didn't need it. Simply clean the original one from your car if it's not broken, and reinsert it. It's hard plastic and just needs a cleaning and reinstall. If you need a new one, this worked as it should.

Buy this too... V518 Distributor Vacuum
Hopefully this review helps anyone with this style 3.6l v6 engine. This was for a 08 enclave and was hoping to fix an oil leak that was spraying back into the air vent hose connecting the filter and the throttle body. This fitting does need to be replaced if the vent holes are clogged but it IS NOT the culprit. Since this isn't actually a valve it doesn't control the flow, the piece you need to replace is on the backside of the engine compartment, follow the hose coming out after the throttle body (to the left of it) and track the V518 Distributor Vacuum piece. It's a little silver straight piece that controls the vacuum of the "PCV" valve that you are finding the oil in. Tight space but got it out with vise grips after you slide the connector forward to pop off the hose. PROBLEM FIXED! It helped the idle and fixed a problem with a delay in throttle response as well, even sounded better fixing a little whistling sound from the engine compartment and no more oil in the air line. The pic is of the old clogged vacuum piece. Hopefully this helps.
