Worked as advertised
Worked right out of the box. Bought two plugs to maintain laptops and move data around. I am able to close my Toshiba and HP laptops lids (when the lids are closed the default screens are the plugs) and get 1920x1080 windows off of the laptops desktops unto my tower PC 2K screen using VNC. Also able to resize these down to lower resolution (1600x900) when I need smaller VNC windows. Haven't tried full set of sizes.

Thrilled!!! Solved video glitches with 2013-2018 Mac Pro!!!
I read on a chat group about using this thing to solve the video glitchiness with the Thunderbolt monitor output on a 2013-2018 Apple Mac Pro computer. IT WORKS!!! Now, with this thing plugged into my computer's HDMI output and having the HDMI set up to mirror the Thunderbolt output, I can run the Thunderbolt output at 4k 60Hz, with absolutely no glitchiness problems. This $10 gadget has solved a major problem with my recently acquired computer that I was very concerned I was just going to have to live with. I'm totally stoked.

Works, no HiDPI.
Works on my 2014 Mac mini. Decent set of resolutions, too bad there's no HiDPI resolution. Still forced to look at a fuzzy remote screen on my nice, HiDPI, display.

Worked great for Ubuntu headless computer
Running a pc headless and using No Machine remote desktop. This solved the problem of Ubuntu not starting a display driver.

It works very nicely with my 2012 Mac mini
I run a few headless Mac minis for myself and clients, and these HDMI plugs work very nicely to give me full screen resolution when I log in.

Works as advertised
I run a Mac Mini M1 for a media server.. and I had no idea that running headless was a performance impediment for computers in general - but macs in particular. Linux machines can run headless without the need for specialized adapters (depending on the distro) and use-case.. but that's not the case with Macs.. go figure... So.. as per suggestions here... plug in the adapter.. enable screen sharing.. reboot and you good to go.

Does Not Work as described
Very disappointed with this item. When remotely connected to a headless Mac using this device, there is no improvement in the video acceleration. Just another gimmick. Absolute waste of time and money.
