John Constantine, Hellblazer, Vol. 3: The Fear Machine

This book was great i am not as great at the written word as the aurthor of this fine graphic novel,so if you want to be a grammar nazi or bitch about my spelling go away but the book rocks .I have been working my way the hellblazer since I heard it would be a tv series ( i am a late comer to the books so sue me )and I have say they keep getting better and better. Can't wait to see what the next chapter brings

i have to tell that within hellblazer series this is the first time i meet a story arc that goes over 9 issues , and the journey totally worth it, in some parts i was full of fear and dread and keep in mind its just a comic book! I would say this is best By Jamie delano !🙏

Great stories. John never fails to surprise me with the next adventure he finds himself in. It was nice to kind of give the character something to fight for for a change instead of looking out for himself. The main arc is dark and gritty and makes you fear the fear machine and what's coming next in a very well layered detailed story that really doesn't fail to keep flowing with suspense.

The Fear machine is very easily the worst collection of Hellblazer stories out of all the kindle editions so far released. Collecting the long, 9-issue story arc by Jamie Delano, this edition shows off all the problems I have with this version of Hellblazer. The obvious problem is the pacing. Every single issue in this trade felt like Delano was struggling to fill 22 pages, which in turn brought his habit of putting way too many adjectives in his prose, rather than just letting the art speak for itself. Speaking of the art, after three issues of the same junk from the previous two collection, a new artist comes on board and Hellblazer actually looks good for a change. Politics also hit this book in a bad way. Delano offers a very rose-colored glasses depiction of new-age hippies, and depicting the right-wing government as fascists using magic to take over the population. It's insanely one sided and stupid. At least the next collection in the series is good.

Love the Hellblazer/Constantine comics. I'm so glad there is a tpb series like this to read the story arcs in one sitting. It's near impossible to be able to collect the several hundred individual issues now, so the tpb is ideal.

Diving into John Constantine's world has been a mind altering experience, I definitely recommend it to anybody trying to kill sometime.

Exactly what the title says. There are some works in which you can clearly see a Down in a series of ups while remaining a cut above anything that can be called good. This is one of those falls, I can say that upon reading pretty much everything John Constantine. Honestly not the worst compared to a few things that came after the New52/ The original series ended. To keep it simple and also short after rambling for the amount of 2 paragraphs: The main complaint of the Fear machine which is mine too is that it is an story that drags on and on, a feat for a story that is only a volume wide in a series with arcs of up to 3 volumes (40 something floppies if you will). I dare say upon re read this story becomes worse a near sure possibility for anyone when a book is a chore and its story is only a mystery that drags on and on. Once you know the secret, the mystery that drives it.All turns Worse. The End. there is nothing more I have to say.

This volume holds the political terror The Fear Machine which is one of the best stories of Hellblazer. It's gruesome, it's heavy and it's violent. It's definitely worth a look.

Historia recomendable que por desgracia sufre del problema que veo en casi cualquier tpb pasta suave en inglés que he comprado por este medio. Su primera y última página se despega del resto del cómic dando la impresión de que se va a deshojar. Tengo la impresión de que esto ocurre ya que por el tipo de portada esta se llega a abrir un poco más debido a la rigidez de la misma y no se curva como el resto de las hojas de interiores, la primera y última hoja al estar pegadas a la pasta llegan a ser arrastradas con esta haciendo que se abra de más pero al mismo tiempo evitando que se deshoje, he visto que esto se puede evitar con un empastado como los del título Descender de Jeff Lemire que está publicando editorial océano en mi país haciendo que la pasta se doble un poco más arriba del lomo evitando que se abra de más, claro habría que ver la manera de que así no se pierds el contenido que se ubica en la parte central del cómic sobre todo en las viñetas que abarcan 2 páginas y que las portadas no se dañen por ese tipo de doblez.

Il volume e' arrivato in ottime condizioni, senza alcun danno, anche piu' velocemente di quanto preventivato. Consigliato a tutti gli appassionati.

John Constantine is such an amazing character to read. The plot is amazing, the art style is unique, and the setting is dynamic. I highly recommend picking this comic book up!
