Compact MR4 2.0 (42W) Studio Monitor with Class D Amplifier and Two Sound Modes to Choose From White

5 stars for the money. I got these for music production to tide me over until I get some Kali monitors. The MR4 are really decent out of the box and respond well to mild equalizing in the upper mids. I don't use the knobs on the back and use them in monitor mode mostly. They can get LOUD, not super loud because of distortion, but loud enough - and maintain clarity to hear your mix. You need to be vertically in the sweet spot when using, meaning have the tweeters at ear level. Horizontally that doesn't matter so much. Also they're near field so be close to them, I sit within 50cm so no problem, further out you go the Sound Pressure Level will drop significantly. Still decently loud and clear 1m away though (for loud monitoring) I've heard better speakers but these are a steal for the money! Pretty flat response especially with minor EQ tweak. Bass is acceptably good considering the size = they sound surprisingly bassy for the size. Solid purchase they'll do until I get the Kali. I also find I'm listening to and enjoying lots of music that I know well on them, often hearing new subtle details.

As someone who owns several pairs of high-end IEMs and headphones, I spend a lot of time listening to audio gear. These speakers really impressed me for their price point. While I wouldn’t recommend them for professional mixing, to be honest, I’ve even used them for some music production and they’ve done surprisingly well, though I still wouldn’t rely on them as my primary reference monitors. They really shine when it comes to casual music listening, movies, and gaming. For the cost, it’s hard to find anything that performs better. You might be asking, why not 5 stars? The only issue I have found with this speaker is that the passive speaker has more bass than the active one. If you're OCD, this could be deal breaking. I’m not sure how long they’ll last in the long run, but so far, they’ve been great! I’ll try to update this review if they ever die or start having issues.

Dual color scheme is cerry on top for what is a very good pair of speakers. i tested out presonus eris 3.5 and alesis elevate 5 mkII to compare with these as those two were what fits the budget and according to people similar sounding. Right of the bat i would say alesis elevate dont really compare to these two , their sound is all over the place , muffled uncontrolled base not very crisp compared to presonus or edifier mr4 when comparing these to presonus 3.5, these are slightly better in all categories especially bass due to having a bigger driver. the sound is a notch fuller and dynamic range is ever so slightly better. at the same price its no brainer mr4 wins but now a days eris 3.5 can be bought for about 75 gbp and these are about 99. to that i would say if you would rather not spend an extra 25 gbp , you will not be missing much. but if you prefer a choice of color scheme a notch better sound (its really not that much in between these two) get the MR4s like me .

Use for my gaming setup and have been used a good bit now sounds very good for price

Been using these for about a year. Can't fault them as far as sound goes. If I was buying speakers today I'd probably get something with optional bluetooth connectivity, otherwise great speakers and there is an auxiliary port for secondary devices.

Fit so well with my desk. It is hard to find a nice white colour monitor that with quality , glad that I found these. They sound so well too. Recommend!

Edifier MR4 - BLUFFANTES, EBLOUISSANTES ! Aussitôt reçues, aussitôt installées. Instantanément conquis. Précision, délié, graves surprenantes, aigus et médiums détaillés, le tout en quelques instants d'écoute sur des musiques un peu difficiles (le Grand Bleu, Bach, Sibelius, Vivaldi , Mesparrow comme si elle était devant moi là, à deux mètres, etc.... ). C'est vrai, pour ce prix, elles sont "énormes" ces petites enceintes sur mon bureau. Tout à l'heure j'essayerai les ouvertures de Wagner... Bon, ce ne sont pas mes Cabasses à 150W qui ressemblent à des armoires au rez de chaussée mais ces petites là sont vraiment très exceptionnelles par leur prix et par leur taille. Elles sont très parfaitement adaptées à l'écoute de proximité, aux côtés de l'écran. Bref, un délice tout en finesse ! Bravo Edifier! On pourrait regretter l'absence de protection des HP mais ils sont placés en retrait d' 1cm de la façade et puis ces enceintes là ne sont pas non plus et a priori destinées aux salles de squash... :-)) J'en rajoute après une heure : Basses profondes et harmonieuses, présence des voix et des instruments sans confusion, stéréo parfaite. Attention : du PC aux enceintes , ampli obligatoire ! J'ai choisi Topping E30II Lite Préampli DAC, totalement neutre et tout petit.

Sound is good especially playing physical format of music. Wired still the king

Dopo qualche giorno di utilizzo posso dire di aver fatto la scelta giusta. Venivo dalle Mackie CR3, che già mi avevano colpito per la spazialità e il cosiddetto “phantom center”, cioè quella sensazione che la voce arrivi perfettamente dal centro tra le casse. Tuttavia mancava qualcosa: i bassi erano praticamente assenti e l’ascolto risultava incompleto. Con queste Edifier MR4 ho trovato esattamente quello step in più che cercavo. La differenza non è rivoluzionaria, ma è proprio quella giusta: - i bassi sono finalmente presenti e danno una base alla musica (senza essere invadenti) - il suono resta pulito, definito e molto equilibrato - la scena sonora è credibile e avvolgente La cosa che mi ha colpito di più è il livello di dettaglio: su brani che conosco benissimo (Pink Floyd in primis) ho iniziato a sentire elementi e attacchi degli strumenti che prima mi sfuggivano completamente. Altro punto fortissimo: suonano bene anche a basso volume. Anche tenendole a un quarto della potenza, mentre lavoro al PC, restano piacevoli, leggibili e mai stancanti. Le sto usando con tutte le regolazioni a 0 (flat) e modalità monitor: non ho sentito il bisogno di toccare nulla. Conclusione: non sono casse “da bassi potenti”, ma sono monitor veri, pensati per ascoltare la musica per come è stata registrata. Se cercate dettaglio, scena e un suono equilibrato per rock/progressive, sono assolutamente consigliate.

Aslında DJ Monitörü olarak almıştım ancak ses kalitesi çok güzel. Aynı zamanda PS5 ve Dizi-Film izlerken de kullanıyorum sesine bayıldım. Bunun 2-3 katı para verip Pioneer almanıza gerek yok ses kalitesi çok güzel kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum.
