Focal PS165FX Flax 6.5” 2-Way Component kit, RMS: 80W - MAX: 160W

Replaced my focal polyglass speakers with these beauties. The polyglass is an awesome speaker in it's own right... but they can’t compete with the flax. These play louder while producing sonically superior sound. Sound quality is somewhat subjective but there no denying these bring out subtle nuances in music tracks you've played 100x but never before because they were played on inferior drivers. Mid bass response down to 60hz is nice is crisp. Highs are precise and clear without harshness. Running these biamped at 80watts a channel. Proper application and sound deadening is crucial to get the most out of these. This is one of the best component sets you can buy without spending crazy money $1000+

Amazing sound quality, tons of bass for a 6 5 midbass driver when installed correctly. Very loud and clear. The tweeters are loud and warm and won't pierce your ears.

They sounded great at first after getting the crossovers, timing and eq set but the crossovers burnt-out after only about 4 hours of use, they are claiming damage caused by users abuse but I wasn't near full volume maybe 3/4 volume when they went and they are rated to be able to handle the JL Audio HD 600/4 amps power output and now Focal won't cover them under warranty and I have to spend $280 on new crossovers

Added these to my 2019 f250 crew. These fit however you will need to buy adapter brackets. The opening in the front doors are 6x9. They will not fit without the adapters. The bass is tight and crisp in the mids. The highs scream from the tweeters like a spoiled 2 year old kid that was just told no for the first time. Love them, however they do need some break in time as others have said.

I normally strip my car of stock audio systems and replace with focals. If you like crisp sound look no further.

what can i say, Sound is something very personal. but no one will say these are bad speakers. Focal is known for their high's but there is a -3db switch in the filter to tune down the highs if need be. the Flax looks weird, its a natural product, and its being used as a speaker cone.. i would not trust this speaker to be placed in open environment where you could touch the flax, because it looks brittle. but if installed inside a door or with the metal guards installed i do not think this will be an issue. these speakers are made in Europe (france) so if you want to support local economy, pls consider these speakers (lower-priced focal speakers are produced in asia) i do not regret this purchase

excellent set of components ,you will have to spend double to get a small improvement ,head and shouders more musical than yank equipment,sensitive enough to be run at moderate levels of off a head unit output ,really nice with an amp,tweeters are 8ohm and loads sweeter and less offensive than most 4ohm sets.all sealed genuine and quickly shipped ,recommended seller,i have over 20yrs exp of car speakers
