The Hundred Years War, Volume 4: Cursed Kings (The Middle Ages Series)

A long awaited 4th edition from this author. If you like reading about medieval war & politics, you'll love this work. This book gets into the mid-latter years of the Hundred Years War, & concludes just before the "Joan of Arc" period c. 1430. Vast amount of information. But beware, you have to stay focused while reading this one. LOTS of people, lots of FACTIONS to keep up with! Just the kind of book I love! This author has devoted a lifetime to the subject matter. You wont be disappointed!

Brilliant and well written. If you are reading this, then you want this sort of book. Read all four!

Excelent

Good coverage

I have read all four volumes of Sumption's work about the Hundred Year's War and they are all definitive. If you think you know that legendary conflict - Agincourt, Crecy, Joan of Arc, etc. - think again. You will find out things about medieval warfare and the true anarchy it created, at least in this war, that will make your jaw drop. He makes the past come alive, to use a cliche, and his style is accessible and compelling.

The book itself would be fantastic but for some reason they could not supply.
