Simple - to the point
The cd contains basic words/phrases in multiple languages. I bought it since it was inexpensive and figured it was worth a try. However, my African Grey already knew most of the English phrases in addition to more before the cd arrived. While the cd is a good idea especially when one isn't home or to teach an additional language phrase, the best way to teach your parrot to talk is simply by talking to him/her slowly and with clear diction.
