lousy for intense mint, good for mild mint
mints are one of those flavors that tend to be too strong. that the flavor in this extract is so weak could be a boon for bakers who are looking for a more mild mint. unfortunately, for the flavor intensity i'm looking for using this in hot cacao and brownies, i have to use an absolutely bonkers amount. a full tablespoon for a single cup of hot chocolate, vs 3 andes mints i normally use. the usual recipe for brownies calls for 1 tsp mint extract, i had to use 3 tbls of this. so, value for money if you're looking for an intense mint, this ain't it. but if you're looking for a mild mint, this could be just what you're looking for.
