Good polish
Good for polishing any metal. I even used them on my yellowed headlights. Worked great.

Amazing for Copper!
I'm brand new to working with copper, or metal of any kind for that matter. When I'm clueless in an area, I seek out the guidance of wiser individuals. In my endeavor to create some projects out of copper pipe and fittings, I ended up ordering Brasso because it was recommended by various sources that seem to be well-skilled in the knowledge I lack. I applied the Brasso with a fine grain steel wool and eventually ended up using gloves once I saw what it was doing to my hands. The odor wasn't too bad... It's far from pleasant but I didn't feel it was necessary to work outside. (I'm not suggesting anyone else to do this, just stating my own experience). As my welder friend promised, polishing pipe this way is tedious, but effective. I don't own any grinding tools, but the Brasso combined with the steel wool leaves a smooth finish. The results were exemplary! It seriously transformed the copper pipe and fittings to a clean, almost rose gold iridescent luster, which is exactly the result I was aiming for. It also worked great on patinated copper... Which I discovered when I accidentally left some fittings in a bucket of vinegar that eventually evaporated. The tarnished areas wiped right off with little effort. I plan on polishing all of my copper pipe with Brasso prior to lacquering it. My goal is that it will stay looking this way over time, despite exposure to elements. I'll update on how this experiment goes... To shown the effects, I included pictures of 2 copper fittings: One that was clean and straight out of the bag and the other that I polished with Brasso. P.S. I also included a picture of a Ruffoni saucepan I had put away several years ago when it started to look gross. I'm amazed by how Brasso restored the copper and brass!

Brass metal polish
Didn't do what it claimed to do. The best results for my rusted stainlessccappliances was blue non scratch sponges withb3M marine cream. Labor intensive but well worth the amazing results

Love this product! Buy it slk the time for my knife sharpening hobby.
Love this product and company. Use it to polish up my knives, silverware and jewelry. It also cleans some surfaces and makes things look new and improved. Expect to put some elbow grease in if you expect that mirror finish.

A classic and still the best!
I've used Brasso for years and will keep buying it. Destroys tarnish while keeping the good stuff. The oxidation you're rubbing off turns black, so you know when you're getting stuff and when you're running out of things to still clean. For people sensitive to the smell of these things, it's a bit ahm, pungent at times but that's mostly due to the reactions as it works. I myself don't care. You can wear gloves if you want but you don't need to, it's pretty harmless and non-irritating, I always just use it. I suggest using rags, which shreds of old t-shirts will work fine for, not paper towels. Rub once to get surface stuff off, but leave just a little film. Wait a few minutes. Rub off the film. Buff with a clean piece of the same cloth in a more circular pattern. Done. Makes 100 year old phone parts that I often use it on look almost like I faked them! Great for coins and medals too. Makes lightly pitted chrome look a lot brighter. Makes old lamps from the attic look like "vintage" lamps.

My brass polishing days have returned.
Me dear old mum collected lots of brass and copper antiques, and she loved turning us kids loose with the old metal screw-top can of Brasso to clean up her favorite antiquities. Flash forward 50 years and my wife is now the brass and copper collector. "What can we use to polish these up?" she asked. I ordered the MUCH nicer plastic bottle of Brasso, and in less than 5 minutes our most recent purchase, a brass eagle-head cane handle was bright and shiny. I used to love the smell of this stuff as a kid, but I imagine I'm rather alone in that. The current formula is ticker and less liquid-ish than I remember the old Brasso being, which is GREAT, making it much easier to apply and control. It cleans just as well and easily as the stuff I remember using all those years ago, and the new container is much easier to work with. I look forward to polishing lots of old copper and brass items around the house, and might even try it on the stainless steel fridge, microwave and oven, as they say it's good for that too. Thanks, Brasso!

Strong stuff
It really depends on what you use the Brasso for as to how you are going to like it. It is great for a belt buckle to make it shine if it is brass. It is good for any metal that the bottle lists that it will clean within the house. I saw an advertisement that it is good to clean a bronze grave marker. DO NOT USE THIS ON A GRAVE MARKER. EVEN IF IT IS BRONZE! This will ruin the marker. It does list that it will clean bronze, but a bronze marker and a bronze item in your house is of a different composition.
