Brimma 18 Oz Sports Water Bottle

I bought this for an upcoming cruise to try and avoid buying bottled water. I wanted something that was lightweight for packing in my luggage and for excursions. This empty bottle weights 5.0 ounces, is 9 inches tall, 2.57 inches in diameter, and can hold up to 18 ounces of water. The main bottle wall plastic is stiffer than I had imagined and cannot be crushed with your hands. The flip-open top is spring loaded and will pop open when you press the release button on the side. There is an optional safety latch you can engage that will keep the top closed even if you accidentally press the button. When the top is closed, it seals both the drink spout as well as the small air hole used to allow easy flow of water from from the spout. There is no leakage at all from this bottle with the top closed, even with vigorous shaking upside down. All the components seem to be of good quality, not something that will break with normal care. I don't smell any "plastic" odor inside this bottle. The wide mouth allows easy cleaning of the bottle with the top unscrewed. There is a short, permanently attached strap. I found it useful for securing the bottle in my backpack mesh bottle pocket. You can flip it over the bottle to get it out of the way if you don't need to use it. Overall I'm very impressed with this water bottle from Brimma. It's more heavy duty than I was expecting, yet very lightweight. Update 6/14/2018: I've been using this bottle for the past couple months and love it. It still looks new and has never leaked. As an aside, it is the perfect size to use a packet of Crystal Light (needs 17 oz water) if you like flavored no-cal water.

First of all, I want to say that this is the best water bottle I have ever purchased. It is attractively designed, very sturdy and made of non-toxic BPA-free plastic. The design is comfortable to handle and conveniently fits into a shopping bag or backpack without taking up too much room. The lid is conveniently made to flip open but the best part is you need have no fear of its leaking for it is well sealed and does not leak a drop. The only caution I would mention is that in very hot, humid weather, condensation will form on the outside of the bottle and may dampen things around it but this will happen with any bottle and you can wrap the flask to prevent this. Since I am always on the go, the bottle often ends up tossed around and upside down in my travel bag but it never leaks a drop. I have the gray model but it also comes in white. There is also a user-friendly little strap so that you can hang it on whatever protuberance is handily available. The first day I brought it to the office, my boss commented on what a great water bottle it was Way to go, Brimma! I will definitely recommend the Brimma Sports Water Bottle to anyone interested in a good product!

This is a great sports bottle. I bought it for my kid but haven't let him use it yet. It's truly leak proof, which is a rarity among water bottles--and I know this because we've tried pretty much all of them over the years. The size is handy: not too heavy for your bag when full, but not so small that you go thirsty between water fountains. And the one-handed flip cap is, well, super handy. I know my son is going to love it if he can ever pry it out of my hands. I especially like the little plastic tab that holds the cap secure, just in case. In other words, when this tab is in the upright position, it doesn't matter if you (or something in your bag) accidentally presses the button that opens the cap--the cap stays locked in place. So no spills. Yay! Also, I generally choose stainless steel or glass water bottles for myself since I find the taste of plastic overpowering (I can't use coffee travel cups AT ALL, not even porcelain ones, because they all have plastic or rubber parts at least in the lids). But I really don't notice any sort of unpleasant plastic taste/smell in the Brimma bottle. I'm not sure how they're doing this, but they're doing it right.

The water bottle is well made. It has good fit and finish. I wouldn't be surprised if a named brand sports company rebadge and sell this at a higher price. The mouth piece and the breathing holes are plugged by silicone when the lid is closed. It doesn't leak, but it's still new. PROS: + lid opens with one hand, can be closed using one hand and chin + the opening is small so water won't splash all over my face when jogging and trying to drink water, and won't accidentally took too large a gulp + small enough to hold in my hand + lid can be locked. Clearly they have put some thoughts into the "sports" part of the water bottle. CON: - top heavy. It's unstable when nearly empty, and if I put it in a gym bag with a bunch of loose items, it wants to flip slightly upside down. As long as it doesn't leak it's ok. - when drinking, the latch can press below the lip. Turn the bottle slightly to avoid this. I wish they sell different sizes jar with one lid.

Haven't had this long, but enjoying it so far. Does not leak at all. Wrist handle is nice to have. You could cut if off if you wanted, but otherwise it's not removable. (And even if you cut off the handle, I don't think you'd be able to cut off the hard plastic wring that fastens the handle, without damaging the bottle). I like being able to see how much water I have left, so I haven't wanted a Hydro Flask or similar. Upon my first wash of my Brimma, one of the two silicone gaskets in the pop-top cover easily came off. My guess is this is to enable proper cleaning to prevent gunk buildup, but I'd suggest being careful when washing the pop-top cover so as not to lose those small silicone pieces. If either silicone piece is lost, the water bottle would most certainly leak. The gaskets are what keep the water contained. Note that you must drink directly from the front of the water bottle, where the pop-top button is, because the small vent hole is above that. I tried drinking from the side, which then put the small vent hole in a position to drip. It's a tiny bit cumbersome to drink right where the push button is, but it's not a big deal. Latch for the push button seems secure (both in terms of staying locked, and not breaking). Tested filling-up the bottle using a public drinking fountain and I was pleasantly shocked that I was able to full almost the entire bottle (about 17oz of the 18oz marking) despite the awkward water fountain angle. I plan to use the bottle for room temperature water only, as the bottle is not double-walled and therefore I don't believe it blocks condensation. Great purse/backpack water bottle for room temperature water!

I needed a water bottle for the gym and on trail rides with my horse. This bottle is very handy, goes through the dishwasher (I put it through even with the carry handle attached), and a good size. Its not huge, but I am not in need of a really big bottle, plus I didn't want to carry around so much weight. The bottle weighs almost nothing itself. One happy surprise was that the pop open lid can act as a little water bowl for my dog - I simply open it, hold it parallel to the ground and water pours from the drinking spout into the lid. You will need to be okay with your dog licking the water spout that you drink from!! I like that you don't have to squeeze it and that the water flows freely from the spout. The pop open cap is nice, to keep the spout protected, and trap any water if the bottle tips over. Overall a great little water bottle!

One of the selling points for me was that it stated it fits in a water bottle cage on a bicycle....thats a pretty incorrect/deceiving statement. It's not too big, so technically I guess it "fits" but it doesn't mean it works. Unfortunately, it's too small/thin, and will not stay in any water bottle cage I've ever seen or used. Nice bottle otherwise, but dissapointed in the cost since it wont work for me as expected.

So far,it's working out great. I'm using it for work and the gym. Love, love the flip top. Easy to access with one hand. And I didn't think that I would like the little strap on the side at first, but it's turning out to be very helpful at times. I find myself using the strap more and more. I only wish, that it came in a solid color, like black or grey. But, it still works great for me. The stap on the side is great for me, when I'm using my bottle for work. I work in a large wherehouse. And have to walk from one side of the building to the other, and sometimes carry back boxe's and paperwork. So, the stap does come in handy at times and I can just put the strap around my wrist and carry both my water bottle and my packages all at one time. And so far it is holding up to my rough punishment. I throw it in my truck, it's fallen a couple times at work and at the gym? It's fallen out of my truck, with my cell phone. And it's still good to go..... Hopefully, it last me a very long time?

I’ve purchased these bottles 18oz at least 6 times for my 8-9 years old boys. I love them because they are not heavy, easy to clean and practical. However after some time, the lids or lock breaks. I wish we could buy and purchase just a replacement lid for it. I always end up buying it again and keeping empty useless bottles. I’m purchasing 2 more now but leaving the review hoping the seller, the manufacturer reaches out and offers to only buy replacement lids. Thank you.

Love the fact there are no straws and small parts to clean. The quick pour spout is so much better than a straw, or one you have to squeeze or suck back on to get water out. I wish there was a handle that is not cloth that was attached to the lid, and I wish I got the bigger size. Price point is higher than others but I would buy again.
