Fun reads, but I found the basic premises in the various books a little hard to swallow. If the Solar Flares melted the faces off everyone in the equatorial and temperate regions of the earth, then why were the survivors so worried about resources. The majority of the population of the earth was already dead. Then once the virus was released, why were they so fixated on curing it. Surely it didn't just spread globally. After the earth was so severely damaged travel must have been seriously impacted thus making global spread unlikely. I found some of the lead characters far too philosophical. I can't believe most people in live-or-die situations are really like that.

An adventure story kids love! My daughter really enjoyed reading this series — she was so into it that it felt like she wanted to jump right into the book. We even watched the movie together. One of the best books she’ll remember as having truly enjoyed!
