A must have!
This is a must have for any small pet parent. Has saved my guinea pigs countless times! Compared to oxbow my piggies will prefer this one. It lasts a long time. My piggies eat it without a fuss. The smell is minty

Great substitute for critters that won't eat oxbox critical care
I had a very weak and under weight guinea pig that refused to eat the oxbow critter critical care when I had to syringe feed him for under weight due to teeth problems. So I did some research and found this food and he absolutely loved it. I mixed it with a little water and some non sweet apple sauce or vegetable baby food, and he ate it. It's a great change from oxbow since it's so grainy and hard to get your pet to eat. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Less grainy and easier to add to syringe Nutrition: Great substitute to oxbow Effectiveness: My guinea pig ate it Smell: It smelled of peppermint Value for money: I wished you get more the price

My girl loved it, didn't have to force feed, update for second review
My guinea pig loved this, I didn't have to syringe feed. I normally bought Critical care but had issues of my piggies not liking the taste of it. With the Emeraid mint flavor not only was my piggy eating it unassisted they were also starting to feel better quicker! 9/4/24- Adding another review for a different guinea pig or mine. With this other piggy I've needed to use Critical Care brand name but was finding myself force feeding him and he was still not ingesting the feed. He is a stubborn boy and will squirm out of your arms to avoid being forced fed. Today I noticed he needed this feed and didn't need to force feed it to him. I put the mixture in a bowl like I did with my previous piggy and he ate it with no problem. No more stressing him out when he is in a time of need!

Good taste, good results
Amazing My old guinea pig loves it and always come running to me to get more Even my young guinea pig want it when he sees me feeding my old pig lol Usually I used to struggle with other brands bc my pigs donโt like them.. but with this one my pigs have all the benefits and also flavor, and bc they eat it so well, it actually works really well to support their digestion when they are sick. 100% recommended

Great Critical Care Alternative
Great alternative to critical care. Used for my guinea pig to help gain weight. He had no problem eating this instead of the critical care. Great price

Must have for guinea pig care kit
Mixes well to get into syringe or thick for spoon feeding. My guinea pigs prefer this over other Critical Care product. Does the job and helped my piggies recover.

Good supplement for sick bunnies.
I used this as a supplement when my bunny was ill and could not eat hay. Easy to prepare, she liked it. She had gotten very lethargic because she could not eat hay and once she had this available she bounced right back. Unlike Critical Care, this is a more complete nutritional supplement.

This was really good when I needed it for my senior bunny when she was sick.

More affordable than buying locally or from vets
Recently, my guinea pig has fallen ill and the vet recommended the Emeraid to aid in her recovery. Unsurprisingly, vets do charge quite a handsome for a small packet. Knowing that my guinea pig's condition is going to be long-term, I decided to purchase this from Amazon as the price point is more affordable. My guinea pig loves them better than Critical Care for some reason. I find the smell to be more pleasant with a minty undertone.

Like candy
Anybody who's had a guinea pig knows that they LOVE eating. But I've never seen our guinea pigs enjoy food as much as this! We're feeding the Emeraid to one piggy as prep for her surgery later this week. She's mostly lost her appetite, so it was really nice to see her going bananas for the Emeraid. I don't give much to the other two, just a bite or two ... but they also go bananas. Seems like this stuff is "catnip for guinea pigs." Which is a huge relief because it is not fun trying to feed a sick pig without an appetite. Glad we gave Emeraid a try, highly recommended.
