Simple Houseware Desk File Organizer for Office Supplies w/Drawer, Black | Double Tray, Pencil Holder, and 5 Upright Sections with Sliding Drawer

This is a nice, handy organizer that I desperately needed for my makeshift office. Now stuff isn’t scattered all over the place. I particularly like having the drawer. And the whole unit holds a lot! Please ignore reviews saying the plastic nails pop out. Those were clearly written by people who did not read the instructions. You get a set of white anchors, which you put in the holes first, then you push the black plastic nails into the white anchors. Easy as pie, sturdy, and they keep the dividers in place. I wish the nails and anchors were metal instead of plastic, but hopefully they’ll hold up. Beyond the unit, I want to talk about the seller: EP Family Direct. Amazon fulfilled the order, and when I received it, it was in a plain, unmarked plastic bag. After I put it together, I noticed this weird white powder on the bottom. That made me very uncomfortable, so I reached out to EP Family Direct to ask them what it could be and sent them pictures. They wrote back to me right away, said they didn’t know what it was, and that if I wanted, they’d send me a replacement. They sent the replacement very fast, and when I got it, guess what? It was in a branded, factory sealed box and no white powder. So Amazon Fulfillment either sent me someone’s return or they damaged the box and improperly stored it, getting that unknown substance on it. Not happy about that AT ALL. But at least the seller delivered great service, and that’s why I want to give them a shoutout.

Pros: I have limited space in my home, so I'm always trying to consolidate, organize, and maximize space. This desk organizer is an excellent buy. The metal is strong. The entire organizer is quite stable. The drawer slides in and out smoothly and easily. The pencil cup is easy to attach and upright sections hold a reasonably sized folder. I keep my plastic expanding folders (purchased/reviewed on Amazon) in the slots that I use for taxes, expenses, documents I need fairly often, but I don't want to store in my filing cabinet. The slots will hold even the ones that are pretty much fully expanded. The pencil holder is nice plus as it holds a nice quantity of pens, even scissors. Cons: Although the pencil holder is a plus, it's a con too. It's relatively hard plastic, so if you're using it in a spot where there might be a lot of traffic where someone might hit it or you're a bit of a fumbler, this might break off easily. While the one drawer was great, I really needed two. The slot above the drawer is relatively decent size, but unless you're using it to hold a box of envelopes, a few papers, *maybe* a small amount of printer paper, it wasn't of any real use. Con Into Plus: To maximize my use of the organizer, I purchased a metal mesh drawer on Amazon (8.5"D x 12"W x 1.8"H) that fits the slot directly over the drawer perfectly. I now have two drawers to spread out my various clips, knife cutter, etc. Recommendation: I can highly recommend this product. If it had included the second drawer, I would have given it 5 stars. But I did adapt and have exactly what I wanted.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Easily put together and sturdy enough to hold my pads of paper, folders, and supplies.

Well designed and useful. The plastic tray at the bottom and the pencil holder are kind of cheesy if you’re after a ‘look.’ But the design provided 5 slots for notebooks or sets of file folders or whatever, also a flat area for papers or books.

Love it! It holds everything I need at my desk. Easy to put together. Very sturdy.

simple, easy and cheap option. The instructions are clear so please actually read them, I didn't and had to build it twice.
