Is this Microwave safe? Nowhere is that listed and there is metal paint on handle?

It is not recommended for use in the microwave due to the gold trim on the handle and inside the mug.

The pattern is very pretty but the glaze is either no-shine or low shine so the mug is very dull looking. To be honest, I’m disappointed.
