I have used them to carve in both soft and hard wood. They work great for either. Control is good when used with a (Bosch) angle grinder at full speed. Very little kickback. Material removal is quick, but with a little bit of practice it was easy to find the right pressure and angle to have good control over what is taken off and what stays. I have only used them three times thus far, but do not perceive any decrease in removal speed, i.e., it appears they are made from good steel with good edge holding.

These things are no joke. Please be very careful while using…. Don’t let me see you as one of my patients do to carelessness.

They're ok. They would probably be ideal for wood sculpting or some other similar activities as shown in the descriptions. For my needs, I needed something much more abrasive and harsher that would be capable of eating through wood quickly. No issues with connecting them to my Makita angle grinder, so they should work on any other type as stated.

Working on a large white oak project, two 12 foot long 1 1/2 foor dia logs, hooked up to my 5 1/2" industrial hitachi grinder and they kick butt, after a few hours of use you need to take a nail clean them but in general they work great for clean up and removing the softer outer layers of white oak. Slows down when you hit the harder inner layers but I have craving chainsaws for that.

Very aggressive, be sure to hold the angle grinder firmly.

Just what I needed gets the job done with little to no effort.

After I received the product and opened it, I found that the differences are not in the teeth as advertised in the Amazon web page description. Differences are in the shape of the disk surface. One is round, one is flat with a slight angle, and one is fully flat. All are coarse. I was not able to use them for my current project, but can see projects where angle of attack would be important such as grinding flat surfaces.

Efficace mais à ne pas mettre entre toutes les mains. Personnellement je ne les utilise que sur une meuleuse à batterie performante mais ergonomique. En effet j'ai commencé par tester sur une meuleuse filaire trop puissante avec une faible ergonomie et je n'étais pas du tout rassuré par peur de perte de contrôle liée au fort pouvoir abrasif de ces disques. Maintenant c'est redevenu du plaisir quand il faut meuler le bois rapidement et sans trop d'effort. Pour le travail plus fin j'utilise le disque Kutzall.

This is my only experience with these kind of sculpting discs, so I have nothing to compare them with. For me they work excellently and saves me a lot of time. You can let them eat away wood, or use them precise and gently. I recommend using a side gripped angle grinder so that you have two hands controlling it. They are powerful disks that require the strength from two hands to be used effective, precise and safe.

Ho acquistato questi dischi in metallo per realizzare delle ciotole in legno partendo da tronchi tagliati e essiccati. I dischi vengono consegnati in una scatola apposita,ognuno imbustato singolarmente e separato dagli altri con un cartoncino per far sì che non si rovinino. Assieme ai dischi vi è anche un anello per permettere di montarli su un albero di sezione più piccola. Io ho una smerigliatrice angolare Bosch professional e devo dire che mi sobo trovato davvero molto bene utilizzando questi dischi. Durante l'uso bisogna avere l'accortezza di mantenere saldamente l'utensile in quanto potrebbe facilmente "scappare" dalle mani. Consiglio di lavorare il legno poco per volta, senza "spingere" troppo per evitare che il disco si agganci e strappi di mano l'utensile con il rischio di farsi davvero molto male. Ad eccezione di queste accortezza sono molto soddisfatto del lavoro che svolgono e di come riescono a modellare il legno con estrema facilità.
