One thing that I have learned about high-tech electronics that use a remote control is that remotes eventually wear-out. Then what do you do with your system when your remote fails? It's best to have a relatively inexpensive replacement on hand instead of trashing your expensive system.

Thank Goodness, After my Original Remote went BAD after Two and Half Years It was Great finding these still For Sale! Just Wished that Magnavox DVR itself was still Under Production but sadly there not. Magnavox DVR People still use these DVR's are not Dead yet as they Thought, Please Magnavox bring back your DVR's we still Need/Use them.

Works great. No issues with using it as intended. The buttons are small, but that can be expected when cramming many functions into a small remote like this one (about 4.5 inches long by 1.5 inches wide). Looks just like the image shown in the product description.

When my old remote quit working, I was very concerned because a universal remote doesn't operate my unit. I was so happy to find this. The buttons seem a little tighter which is a good thing.

My old remote stopped working. Ordered this new one. Received it the same day and it works great.

The remote I asked for was the ORIGINAL Magnavox remote for my DVR. I was sent a Funai "equivalent" remote. Although it did power on my Magnavox DVR right out of the box, there are several buttons that are useless for my needs and a few missing that I did want. Over a week, I was able to figure out the procedures on this remote to make things happen on my DVR, and it is enough for me to work with, but I really would have preferred the remote that was PICTURED on Amazon's website.
