Inexpensive, high-quality skewer gets my old mountain bike back on the trail.
I broke the rear skewer on my old mountain bike by levering it too much. I thought that I had wrecked the bike or was in for an expensive repair. I had never heard of a skewer but I managed to find information on it through Amazon product search. I came upon DEER U Road Skewers during my search and I was delighted by the low price and clear explanation of how to use the skewer. A couple minutes after receiving them I replaced the broken skewer. Since the DEER Skewers come as a 2 pack I'll replace the front skewer as well. I like the red color and the precise fit with my Trek bike.

Warning if converting a standard axle!
Product seemed like nice quality, but when I went to install I realized I needed a hollow axle bolt for retaining the bearings. Surprisingly can't find just the hollow axle, so returning these and buying a different set that has the hollow axle and the quick release

Works well for cheap
Good for road bikes. Used on a budget build for my sister's trek madone, 30km so far no issues. Why not?
