This simple story is a wonderful, welcoming story about Christmas for young children, with a message they can easily understand. Beautiful illustrations.

It was a perfect Christmas book for my grandkids.

This is a super cute book. Bought it to read with my 2 year old grand kids and both loved it and sat through it without turning the pages ahead of time (amazing). They enjoyed looking at the farm animals and watching them “clean”. I asked them, “Who do you think is coming?”. “BABY JESUS!”, they said.

This is an adorable book. My daughter requests it often and I have it out well past the Christmas season each year. The illustrations are nice and the text is easy to read and simple - which I see as an advantage as she learns to read. I have found that the simplicity of the book gives a lot of opportunity for discussions that are age-appropriate. The first year we talked about what the animals are and what sounds they make. At two and a half we've discussed more about why the animals are cleaning the barn, giving us a good background for explaining more about Christmas and why Baby Jesus is special. I anticipate this book being a favorite for years to come as she grows and develops a more complex understanding of the biblical Christmas story.

This board book is a great baby gift and fun way to teach young children about the birth of Jesus. Also includes the animals working together which is an easy lesson to add for older children.

We checked out this book from the library because it looked cute and it wasn't about Santa. My toddlers love animals and I wanted a book that was about the baby Jesus Christmas Story. I was pleasantly surprised with this book. So simple, yet totally new and unique, to have the story from the animals' perspective. The anticipation and excitement, the wonder and questions, the preparation and waiting. I think it provides an easy open door to further discussion about the true meaning of Christmas and preparing our hearts and making room for Jesus. Beautiful. I didn't want to return my library book...so I was thrilled to find a copy here, and even better, the copy I got was a board book version that I'm sure will last many Christmases!

Everyone at our house from the youngest to the oldest likes this book-- especially in Advent, but also any time of year. Beautiful illustrations, simple rhythm, a simple but interesting story.
