Sunflower Jasmine Tea, Original Jasmine Blend, 16 Oz

A close family member operates a restaurant and has been using Sunflower Jasmine Tea for over a decade. In a business where consistency matters, this tea has held up very well. This loose tea comes in a tin that seals tightly, with both a fitted lid and an inner plastic lid, a thoughtful touch that sets up a good experience all the way around. It smells good just in the tin, but in the cup it brews up a good golden-brown color with a very subtle jasmine scent and a pleasing body. It tastes great both unsweetened and sweetened (with honey, Splenda, or sugar in my household's case) and equally good hot, lukewarm, and iced, but I'm not sure I'd put milk in it. Not only is it economical to buy, it re-steeps very well. It being a green tea, it's not nearly as caffeinated as black teas, so it can be drunk pretty much whenever you want it. I've seen people object to it on the basis that it doesn't contain a lot of flowers and isn't strongly-flavored of flowers. Both of these things are true, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's not made to be a super-strong jasmine tea and it doesn't pretend to be one. It's meant to be a very drinkable tea that goes well with a variety of foods (especially Asian ones, go figure). It tastes exactly like the tea I got at Chinese dim sum places and in Chinatown in one of the large cities I used to call home. This isn't a knock-you-off-your-seat strong tea, but for those times when you just want a basic tea to drink, this is the one. I drank it for years when I lived near an Asian market, and now that I don't have such easy access, I'm delighted to discover it for sale on Amazon. In short, if you want a super-flowery tea filled with dried flowers, this probably won't be your cuppa. If you want a basic tea that tastes great, has a subtle jasmine scent and taste, doesn't get you jittery, and goes well with food, you might like this a lot.

I’ve been drinking this tea for around 20 years, and used to buy it in old Chinatown (downtown Houston- it was also available in a red tin) and like other reviews, it used to have flowers and more fragrance. Over time, all that’s changed, less fragrant, no flowers, way higher prices, etc.. however, I still drink it EVERY DAY and haven’t had a bad experience so far. So, the biggest change that got me was the new packaging. Here in Houston things go stale real fast without a proper seal, so when I got the new tins from Amazon today, I had to take a few pics and share this with fellow tea drinkers: 1) It is sealed with a durable foil around the entire top 2) The entire tin is sealed in shrink wrap 3) Once the seals are broken it is no longer airtight Luckily, I have many of the old tins stashed away (thinking they would be good for something else??) so I simply tore open the corner and poured the tea into an old tin, which brings me to 4) The new tins do not have the paper liner like their predecessor. Luckily, most of the tins I saved still do. Hopefully, transferring the tea to its original airtight, lined container will help keep it fresh longer. I still give it 5 stars because I have yet to find another “everyday tea” that remains this consistent, despite the change in packaging. I hate bagged teas and will only drink fresh brewed loose tea, and so far the tea leaves themselves have remained in good shape (no mold, bad smell, funky taste, “dirt” - as I’ve experienced with some other loose leaf brands). We shall see…

This is the best Jasmine tea out there!

This tea is superior to the recent Jasmine tea bags which I use daily to make my favorite iced tea recipe. Switching to this loose tea dramatically improved the flavor of jasmine which is one of the major tea components in my recipe. I go through lots of tea monthly so this is a good value and great tea included.

Goji berries add a pleasant tast to this tea. The tea has a nice jasmine flavor. Wuyi mountain in fujian province China is where I learned to appriciate good teas. I went on a guided tour of the largest tea farm in Wuyishan. They show how to pick the leaves by hand. Then they had a one on one class on how to brew the tea. You were served a number of different types of tea to taste. All of the teas were loose leaf. Oolong tea tasted the best. As an Expat living in Chine for 5 years I drank a lot of different teas with friends. The way they brewed tea was always the same. They added loose leave tea into a large cup then added boiling water and put a lid on the large cup. Then they threw the water out not the tea then they added more boiling hot water. Once the leaves were on the bottom of the cup with water they would serve you from the large cup into small porcelain cups. They would add boiling water to the large cup and serve you more tea. They would get up to five servings of teas from from the same leaves. Usually the third cup was the best tasting. I prepare my Jasmine tea the same way. If done correctly the tea will stay on the bottom of the cup. I can get 5 coffee mugs of tea from the same tea leaves. You have to add boing water so the tea does not float. I add Goji berries to the tea for an added flavor.

Very good tea. It is a good quality green jasmine loose leaf tea, but it does not have a really strong jasmine flavor; it's very mild.

Excellent cost for quality product. The tin was an unexpected bonus.

パッケージデザインが可愛くずっと気になっていましたが、取り扱いが少なく少しグレードが上？の胡蝶牌(青缶)よりも価格が高いのでスルーしてました。今回はタイミングよく期限まで少し短いものが安くなっていたので購入。胡蝶牌より香りの深みはないような気はしますが、市販のペットボトル商品と比べるとしっかりとした爽やかな良い香りがします。ただ熱いお湯で淹れると渋みがかなり出るように感じました。水出しだと渋みはほとんど感じず、香りや味はちゃんと出るので水出し茶として飲んでいます。商品自体は良いのですが、安く手に入りにくいのでリピートはないかなと☆3つに。

I cant say I have tried a lot of brands of jasmine tea but this tea is delightful and not a terrible price. If you are looking for a jasmine tea then i highly recommend this brand
