Can you leave the scale on continuosly? How long does it take to get accurate reading from being off?

The User Manual recommends you allow 15 minutes to warm up after you power the scale on. This is important because the sensitive measuring electronics must achieve a steady temperature *inside* its body. (I am an analytical chemist who uses high precision balances)
