Amazing product!!
I got a free Yakima skybox pro for free on marketplace that had a few cracks on the bottom part of the box. I immediately went on Amazon and bought this product due to the price for the amount that you get. This product ROCKS. For the price, you get so many accessories. All of the attachments fit perfectly and are easy to bend to get into tough to reach areas. The product heats within seconds of pressing the trigger and the blade gets red hot. I was able to fix the Yakima skybox which saved me hundreds of dollars on buying one new or even used. The product was extremely easy to use. This was my first time using a plastic welder and it was extremely easy to use. The hot knife accessory is awesome for cutting ropes as well. Fantastic! I highly enjoyed using this product and highly recommend!!

Gets hot but I like it
I bought a cheaper $20 plastic welder previously, and this one is definitely worth the extra cost. It heats up much faster, feels more capable, and the included extras alone make the kit a better value. The variety of plastic welding rods is especially useful. After working with plastic repairs more, Iโve learned how important it is to match the same type of plastic when adding filler material or reinforcing a crack. This kit gives you several different plastic types to work with, which makes it much easier to get a stronger, cleaner repair instead of just melting random material into the joint. The hot stapler function works very well. It gets hot quickly and lets you sink staples into cracked plastic fast, which is great for bumpers, containers, panels, tabs, and other broken plastic pieces. My only complaint showed up during heavier extended use. I was repairing a large storage container that had cracked down the side, and while using the heat/spade attachment to melt and blend the existing plastic with added filler material, the unit seemed to overheat and throttle itself down. It would work very hot for about 30โ45 seconds, then drop to a weaker heat level that was not very effective. After letting it cool for a couple minutes, it would heat back up and work again, but only for another short burst. So I would not call this ideal for long, continuous plastic welding jobs with the heat-spade attachment. For shorter repairs, crack reinforcement, hot staples, tabs, bumper repairs, and general plastic repair work, though, it performs very well and is a big step up from the cheaper basic kits. Overall, Iโm happy with it. Great value, fast heat-up, useful accessories, and very handy to have around. Just be aware that for extended welding/blending work, you may need to give it short cool-down breaks.

Awesome
I'm a home owner and things break all the frigin time. Being how thing are frequently made of plastic now and as I said things break. This thing is awesome. Been messing around with it for a week now, part of it is playing with a new toy and part actually fixing things. You know how it is. This is good for big things. First thing i used it on was to weld the handle back onto the garbage can. I used the staples on the thick parts at the rim and melted mesh into the thin walls. The added some stick to cover and beef up the staples and mesh. The inside is all frankenstiened but the out side is almost invisible. And best of all it is stronger then the original side. No more throwing away cracked patio furniture. Anything plastic can be fixed. The only negatives and I am not sure they are. It does has automatic switch that turns it off when it over heats. For obvious reasons. So when when working with the spatula tip you have to work in short bursts and let it cool. It is more of a staple inserter then welder. I have a soldering iron that I used to add and smooth the stick. I am going to get a separate stick plastic welder. I am happy with this purchase and will buy it again. With so many plastic things around the house this will be very useful. But yeah, get this to push in the staples and a separate iron for doing the actual plastic welding and you will bee set.

Overall a neat plastic welder, but will overheat quickly.
So far I have been quite impressed with this little plastic welder. The little peices of metal seem to go right in. You just have to be careful not to go too far /through the plastic. The welder comes with lots of different materials which is neat and impressive for the price. Neutral stuff. The gun looks bigger in the photos, it is not that big. The bad... if you do more than the little metal peices and use the flat irons to melt on plastic (to cover a hole with the mesh etc) the welder overheats pretty quickly and if you are like me you will think it is totally broken. I was ready to send this thing back and went back and read some of the other comments and saw someone say that it cycled off and on every 5 minutes... so I tried it again and it worked... every 5 minutes may be optimistic. But really when it is working I like this tool so I gave it 4 stars. I have yet to see if the plastic welder that I did will hold up, but I feel pretty good a about it so far. The one other dislike is that the side cutters are not super great they do not cut off flush, so not the best cutters. Also just a tip. Let the plastic cool before trying to snip the excess or they will pull out when you try to cut them. Overall, I would suggest getting this plastic welding kit, but be aware of tge overheating amd shutting off without any indicator of wjat is going on. Good luck with your projects.

Great value. Very handy. Very functional.
Great price. Quality unit. Lots of welding fasteners and accessories for the price. I have used this for multiple project already. And wish Iโd discovered this years ago! So handy! Used it to repair a pvc garden cart that had numerous large cracks in the basket and handle. The plastics welds have made that cart solid again. So happy with this purchase. Plus itโs a lot of fun to use.

This will save you $$$
Love this kit. Saved a ton of money fixing some pieces on my car that had broken off. Takes a little of practice. I haven't used it on any things that would be visible so appearance hasn't been very important to me. I imagine that would take more practice. The kit comes with everything you could possibly need and the heat gun works great. The gun does have a limited of time that it can be on before it turns off for safety reasons which might make your job take a little longer then planned.

Works great. Easy to use. Plenty of metal tans to weld plastic together. Would definitely recommend.

Power cycles every 5 minutes, but good as a stapler.
This is a great tool for inserting the "nails" (or maybe you call them "staples"). It works perfectly and quickly for that purpose. As far as a "welder," however, it is very slow. I repaired my kayak and eventually gave up. You could definitely weld a square centimeter or two with this, but you have to keep putting it in the refrigerator every 5 minutes. It is good for 5 minutes, then it needs 15 minutes to cool down before you start again. This is to protect the circuitry. I will keep it for the staple ability. Also, the mesh it came with is nice. I ended up pushing that into the plastic over the nails for a more robust repair. Then, I purchased a heat gun (also on Amazon) and used the heat gun to weld in HDPE strips I bought on Amazon as well. This was fast and worked much better than this tool. So, if you're doing anything larger than 1 square cm or two, I suggest you also get a heat gun to go with this stapler. I uploaded some photos. The finished product (with the heat gun) isn't too bad! I smoothed it by using a sander to take down the high sections. Then i used the heat gun to make it turn from white and dusty back to smooth and red. Finished photo not uploaded because this is what I got BEFORE the heat gun (using this product that I am reviewing).

Easy to use, heats quickly
Never used one before. See you tube. Has good selection of different plastics filler rods. Fixed front and rear bumper, is solid, still noticeable, but perfectly fine for ac descent repair. Used them with about 1/4 inch between staples. Cut the ends with Bose cutter pliers, sand it a bit to remove sharp edges, and fill a bit over, then prime and paint.

Works well
First time using this. Saw it on chicanic YouTube shelves small engine repair, whipper snippers and stuff. I used it on a seadoo spark to repair the seat. The lever to remove it broke. Worked quite well. Good purchase.

Good Electric Stapler with a Lot of Parts. 220Watts.
My first time with one of these. I purchased this kit to repair a truck bumper. It has a good assortment of plastic welding rods. All kinds. Many bags of staples. Various. Nice exacto knife, and a decent set of side cutters. Stainless mesh, metallic tape, and more. That said, trying to repair the mounting holes on my bumper quickly lead to the gun shutting down. And the handle gets pretty warm. It does not seem up to the task of melting the larger flat bars. Overheats quickly, and takes a while to reset. At least there is a protective circuit. Worked better with the thin round rods. Have not yet tried the staples, but I have a project in mind for that. Suspect it is a good stapler. Welder... meh.
