Very first spinner I bought was a dud, so nervous about buying this one, but surprisingly pleased. There were two small problems, but still rating 5 stars since this works so much better than my first purchase. Pros: it looks great and spins easily. Cons, the solar ball is weak (but I'm asleep through most of the time that matters) and the two spinners were both a little off balance, making initial spin require more wind. I had a project with left-over neodymium magnets that solved this. Sort of like balancing a ceiling fan, I just added a few magnets to the upper-most blade on each spinner until each was balanced. It's now rare that I look out and don't have action! The jewels reflect the sun nicely in the morning, but at mid-day, they don't add much to the appearance. Bang for the buck is nice, so do recommend for anyone else who gets tickled by wind-spinners in the landscape.

Looks great in my garden and spins easily in lighter winds, and came pretty balanced.

It's easy to assemble but be careful with the glass ball when you are assembling it. I feel I it is what I expected. The light is not bright but it is pretty when wind mill part moves with the wind. I believe it is worth what I paid for.

This is a replacement wind spinner that I bought 5 years ago that wore out. It still spins but the light quit working so I have moved it.

I ordered two of these and was going to order 2 or 3 more, they look good easy to assemble and sturdy even in 50mph winds. On the down side, one of the units simply does not work, its in full sun for over 8 hours and the led barely lights up for more than 5 mins. I changed the batteries as the instructions stated and at my own expense still the same result. The other unit is fantastic, works for hours even after charging for only 4 hours on a cloudy day. Therefore, given the 50/50 shot of not working, I'll get something without lights. So I can only give this 3 stars because if you ordered one and got the lemon, its not worth the effort

Wanted something to use in the corner of our home where it was a little bland. Photos speak for itself as you can see what you get unassembled and assembled. I did not use one of the pole sections as it was already tall enough for my purpose. So know you can remove a few sections if you want it shorter. Setup is super easy and takes about 2 minutes. (I would be confident in saying you will not need the directions.) The top spins 360 degrees with little effort and it does work well in catching air-spinning. Light works well and adds a nice flair for night time. Not super bright but does a good job. If yours is wobbly, recommend digging down a little and bury the entire base and the first section to make it sturdier. One thing which would make this even better is removing a part of the metal which the gem mounts on so that the light shines through the gems as they spin. (The gems mount to a solid piece of metal vs. being edged in metal.) Cost I thought was reasonable in regards to the comparison As with all my reviews, i will update this review should this develop issues with ongoing use.

I compared a lot of similar products before finally deciding on this one. I was looking for a wind spinner that spins in two directions and also has the color-changing solar light. One reason I decided on this one was because so many reviews raved about SteadyDoggy's excellent service. Fortunately, I didn't need to find out for myself. The package arrived very quickly, was very well packaged and all of the pieces were there, well-organized and in perfect condition. Also, the assembly instructions are very clear and simple; I had it assembled within about 10 minutes. This is about my 5th wind spinner (my 2nd from SteadyDoggy), and I have never seen one that did NOT have to be balanced. I balanced this one easily by using sticky putty (the kind of stuff you put behind a picture to level it out) to attach a penny to the lightest side of each spinner. Then I colored the putty with a copper-colored Sharpie. It now spins very well in both directions. Regarding the solar light: It worked immediately when I turned it on...it even lit up when I was carrying the wind spinner in my house.

Seems to be very well made. Easy to assemble. Looks even better than the pictures in the description. The ball races in the spinners allow them to start moving in a gentle breeze and really whirl round in stronger wind. I mounted my spinner higher up by attaching the pole to a wooden post I already had. You may notice some black tape I put round the join where it can rotate. I only did that to keep it facing the way I wanted. The colour changing LED is not very bright but none the less gives a pleasing display at night.

So simple yet beautiful and easy to assemble. Works and spins easily even with lesser wind. Seems well made. Absolutely recommend!

Excellent quality and much superior to another similar product that was a bit of a rip off. The price is probably right too
