Buy this when on sale around 60$, probably now the permanent price that the UE wonderboom 4 has come out (reviews say the only difference ios upgrade to usb C charging from usb) as far as ultra portable speakers go, this is as good as it gets, and aging more than gracefully. After much research i settled for either this or the jbl flip 6, bought both, returned the jbl flip 6. It really depends what you want this for. If you want something for a corner in the garden for BBQ or indoors portable speaker, for the shower etc something like that, the jbl flip 6 has more powerful and better sound, but highly directional, if you want this for outdoors activity, the UE packs a punch for the size, is super portable, and the sound is much more surround sound than the jbl flip 6 which is very directional and not stereo nor surround AT ALL. When you hand the jbl flip 6 it will invariably swing around and you'll hear the sound come and go as it twists on the built in hanger. I took both on a sailing trip, and the ue boom was the best sound on an open moving ship. The rest of the crew agreed. i'd imagine it's the same in any open environment, dynamic activities or picnic etc. it's also more portable/smaller/lighter than the jbl and though both are waterproof, unlike the jbl, the ue boom floats so it's the best for water activities without a doubt. anything when you might lose it to sinking: kayaking sailing going to the beach, lake, ue wonderboom without a doubt.

I purchased this 2 years ago. We use it quite frequently. Still has great sound, no noticeable battery degradation. Here's the kicker: I listen to it while I'm in the hot tub. I forgot about it, added chemicals closed the cover with the Jets running on high. 30 minutes later I rescued the speaker and found that it was still working. Incredibly waterproof.

Wonderboom 3 is definitely a sharper enhancement from the WB2. The difference between WB2 and WB1 is quite smaller unless you do get two WB2s to pair them. I though it wasn’t possible, but I make instrumentals and WB3 has a more punchy bass with richer/clearer mids and highs. If WB2 was a 9, WB3 is def a 10. The outdoor mode does louden them, but only so much(it is perfect for keeping the music). The distance when they are paired before they start to distort can be fairly large but not large distances. When it comes to ordering two of them for pairing, if you want full surround sound speakers, these are not meant for you. Imagine high end tv speakers but you can place them wherever you want while being able to carry them in your hands with ease, that’s what WB3&2 are. However, if you want speakers that live up to their name, look no further. The prices are haunting, but you won’t be disappointed. If you have WB2s, I would suggest waiting a while for the WB3 prices drop as they are already a wonderful pair. On the other hand, if you have the money to spend, go ahead and but 2 of them for the stereo as you eventually will, and you will be amazed and won’t be able to listen to single speakers ever again. Downsides > fairly long time to charge, recommend charging over night. WB3 are a bit better at this but > will die within 3-6 hours if you are playing loud music that uses a lot of bass or has a lot of things happening. (Playing at max volume but like a movie or podcast doesn’t cause this) There is a little catch of the speaker gets hot > it will drain the battery faster and will get to low battery(the white light will turn red) quicker. If the speakers are too hot, they will shut off, and I mean hot to the touch. Just let them cool off completely and the Battery will return back to normal. However, sometimes you can power them back on right after, when they are completely dead, the red light will flash, so at that point you have to charge them. Again, they are expensive, you won’t be disappointed, but at the same time you’ll be heavily missing out if you don’t have two of them(WB3 or WB2) for the stereo sound. I bought this speaker in 2023 specifically to use in the shower because our shower is loud and I wanted something I could actually hear over the water. It’s been great for that purpose—clear, loud enough, and totally reliable with no issues at all over the last couple of years. For context, I keep it on a suction cup holder at the far end of the tub, positioned as close to outside the shower as possible so it’s not getting direct water or steam. Occasionally the suction cup does fall, which finally led to a real stress test. Last night, the holder fell without anyone noticing, and the speaker ended up in the tub during my toddler’s bath. I walked in about 10 minutes later to find it floating in the water. I fully assumed it was done and was just relieved no one was hurt. I took it out, laid it on its side to dry, and had zero expectations it would work again. This morning, I turned it on—and it works perfectly. I honestly can’t believe how well it held up. Between the sound quality, long-term reliability, and unexpected durability, I’m extremely impressed. If you’re looking for a shower speaker that can actually be heard and seems built to survive real life, this one absolutely delivers.

I'm a medical massage therapist in a hospital and this is one of the best portable speakers I've ever owned. The base gives a very full deep sound to the music I'm playing and stays charged all day.

I had a pair of RED Wonderboom 2's (360 sound) that I bought a few years ago for like $99 each at best buy and they looked nice on my black fireplace in my large Living room. They are all-around sound and sound wonderfull. I also would move 1 to the workout room or the garage when i needed to. But I got tired of moving them. So I pulled the trigger on 2 nice black WONDERBOOM 3's that were for some reason selling new for only $59 and the black looks real nice in my BR with a white Dresser and white deco They sound so nice - u really dont need to pair two of them. Also i think Each will loose some volume if u do pair them anyway which is why I like the all-around sound. Both the 2's and 3's are similar. I cant tell a diff. I think the connection looks different So now I have 4 1 red WB 2 for the weight room/workout room 1 red WB 2 one for the fireplace in the livingroom. 1 Black WB 3 for the bedroom 1 black WB 3 for the garage Each are appropriately named in the blue tooth setting so that I dont forget and each are plugged into a USB 2 port (which i bought a 4 pack for 4 $10) for charging - they last along time before charging but if u are out of charge, they each also work and charge simultaneously (unlike my damn shaver - lol) Great Purchase.

These are 100% worth the price when they are on sale. They out perform the majority of other small speakers for premium sound quality, long lasting battery life, and extreme durability. These speakers really can handle drops without fear of breaking, as my toddler runs off with the grey one all the time and only real worry I have about it is getting dirty. I purchased one speaker and it was plenty loud enough for my office. It was truly remarkable how clear and loud it was at 20 - 30% volume for the size they are. A great feature that is easily overlooked is the 360 sound coverage. Where ever you place it, you’re covered, no need of moving or adjusting things around to have the speaker facing directly you. It was so good I had to purchase the second one for paired mode, and this is truly how they are meant to use these WONDERBOOM 3’s. The party mode can easily cover the large open rooms for Loud booming music and you can also switch it easily to stereo mode by holding in the middle button. Only thing I can say is if you are purchasing one at full price for a large open room, for LOUD booming music consider spending a little more and get the MegaBoom 3 or purchasing two WONDERBOOM 3 on sale.

I’ve been using mine for 2 years now and love it. It’s a perfect travel size, It has a great volume to it, it’s sturdy considering I’ve dropped it more than a couple times lol. And it has the extra loud treble button on the bottom for the outdoors. Worth it
