Are other colors available to match Sony colored covers/controllers?

No other color options for the PS5 version. For what it’s worth it holds the controllers really well.

Can you use a usb wall plug with this unit instead of having it plugged into your ps5?

You can as long as you use the correct wall plug such as the one here. Sony AC-UUD12 AC Adaptor Compatible with Dpt-RP1 Dpta-RS1 Dpt-S1. It should be available on Amazon.

How to know if DS5 is fully charged? Wait for it to turn off automatically?

Yes. Once the lights on the controller stop blinking, it's fully charged.
