A good friend told me about YoLink, how long he's been using them and how pleased he was with their devices/technology. I decided to try them as we have three refrigerator/freezers and one chest freezer so we could have major problems if we were out of town and our home lost power. I'm sold! These devices work great, they're problem free and their app makes it very easy to setup and monitor! I highly recommend!!!

A few years ago I had a sudden serious water leak in my shop. I had only been out of the shop for about ten minutes but when I returned the 30’ by 60’ shop floor was completely flooded. Since I was close by the damage was minimal but it stilt gook two days to get everything dried out and back to normal. If the leak had occurred at night there would have been thousands of dollars of damage to equipment alone not counting damage to the shop itself.I realized I had to do something so I bought wireless water leak detectors from a popular and reputable company. My shop is a metal building about 100 feet from my home. It was hard to find a location where the hub would receive a signal from the sensor and even then I was not comfortable with the signal strength, and I was never sure that they would warn me in time if I had another leak.This winter I decided it would be a good idea to monitor the temperature in the shop as a safeguard against frozen pipes. I found the “YoLink SpeakerHub & Two Temp/Humidity Sensors Starter Kit” on Amazon and ordered it. I put one sensor in my shop and the other in our laundry room.The setup was super easy, much easier than the setup of the other Wi-Fi devices on my network, and adding additional sensors only takes about thirty seconds. I was able to place the hub anywhere in my house and still get a strong signal.I was so pleased with the performance I ordered a siren and placed it in our bedroom and six water leak sensors and placed them under our sinks and next to our water heaters. I also ordered an outdoor temperature sensor for our well but I haven’t put it in place yet.I have had the sensors for a little over two months but they have already paid off. They warned me of a potential freeze in our laundry room. I had set the thermostat in that room set at 45 degrees and the temperature on the shelf where I was monitoring the temperature was at 45 degrees but it was so cold and windy outside that the temperature of the leak detector on the floor, near an outside wall dropped to freezing. The sensor warned me in time and I raised the thermostat to 55 degrees and averted a possible freeze.I am an old man and I have never been interested in having a smart home but this the yolink system is so reasonably priced and works so well that I expect I will be adding cameras, motion detectors, switches and so forth in the near future.

I'm using these in 2 separate freezers. They've worked perfectly so far. It's nice to know that I will be notified if the temperature suddenly rises in my freezers.

The sensors work great, and the set up is simple. The speaker hub announcements for alerts is appreciated, and it all works very well with Alexa.

This is an interesting find. I have 2 garage fridges and wanted to know with alerts if someone left the door open or the power tripped.This one has an app that alerts you but also a speaker to tell you that the temp or humidity is up.They also have an api for you coders and it can be leveraged to announce other things you want to know.It’s small, the connectivity range is amazing and the batteries are lasting forever it seems. Plus with the display you can see the temp and humidity at a glance when you open the door.
