Pleasantly impressed with this device!
This is a very well made and robust device. It came shipped and packaged in a sturdy box and the instructions are written in grammatically correct English so right off the bat I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product, packaging and instructions. Seriously, I can't stress how common it is to receive instructions that are barely comprehensible from out of the country manufacturers so getting something for a technical device that had instructions that I could actually understand was a huge plus especially when you may need to change settings. The device can be changed from its default settings by using bar codes that are in the instruction manual... just point and click. Pretty ingenious really. The USB transmitter works great in a plug-and-play capability into my Windows 10 computer and then immediately communicating to the handheld bar code reader. The wireless capability is nice although it also came with a USB cable for charging the reader's internal batteries or connecting in a wired fashion back to the PC USB port. I was able to read all my bar codes from frequent shopping cards, loyalty cards, etc and it would input it directly into the PC app. The wireless dongle performed very well in how far you can be away from the computer as it collects info. I had my computer on the far side of my house on the second floor and I was able to have successful scans on the other side of the house on the first floor about 60 feet away. The scanner works very fast and provides an audible beep on every successful reading so its easy to know when you are not getting a read of a barcode. Some barcodes were acquired faster than others due to some scuffed up labels from being shipped but all the codes could be read. However with everything I like about this product and I must say there is little to not like, the one thing I was hoping for was the ability to be able to read bar codes off a smart phone screen display. My church uses scanners for kids check-in and this works great for a portable solution for scanning the kid's tags. Since people lose their key tags (but not their smartphones) I wanted to scan the bar codes directly from their smartphone stored bar code. Unfortunately it wasn't able to do that. This particular scanner uses a common laser scanner which isn't good at reading off an electronic display. You need a different technology other than laser for that. So I am upgrading up to 5 stars since I can't really take off a star for something it isn't designed to do in the first place but it was worth trying. ;-) It does exceptionally well in reading codes off the typical inventory or shipping labels... and kids key tags for church check-in. :-)

Probably best of 3 scanners I tried. I think it does like to be back a bit.
Really great, many modes and fast. The app seems a bit sketch, wish there was a way to configure without app. You can configure what it outputs and it also does 2d qr codes. Option to auto scan with time delay button scan and many more features that make it worth the prices. Battery operation is nice too. I will see how it works as a station scanner for print checks and monitoring.

Works great, Bluetooth not as great.
The product works great, yet make sure you have the barcode To scan to your spreadsheet. The Bluetooth does not seem to work great. But the plug and play was very quick and accurate. Or use it to scan barcodes on product that I send out I can scan 300 barcodes in less than 45 minutes.

Robust Scanning Solution
We have bought about three of these for our print shop. Great quality, reliability, and features. They take drops well. After two years of abuse just had the trigger stop working. Was easy to take apart, fix the trigger, and reassemble. Highly recommend.

Easy to Install and Works Perfect but broke after one year of use
After use of one year: It makes wired beep and does not scan. sometime populates the item not even there for scanning. I stopped using it now. it is easy to get started with this but did not last long. Review after getting it installed after purchase: Usually I do not write reviews, but this product helped me so good I wanted to write one. I Opened the box, connected wire with scanner head, and connected other USB port end to cash register, scanned couple of bar code that came with instructions and Voila! It was as easy as one two three. It scanned the product and populated at screen. Before this I tried couple of other expensive scanner ( almost three times of this price), while scanning an item, it showed the barcode numbers then had to press enter button on keyboard to populate description on screen. This scanner eliminated this extra step which is a lot if you are using for scanning a lot of items. I liked the nice yellow color and perfectly pitched scanning sound.

GREAT scanner out of the box!!
Scanner worked well right out of the box. Paired easily with my Win10 laptop as well as my iPad Air when following the instructions available in the included manual or on the product page at Inateck's website. A handy "cheat card" with scannable barcodes to initiate BT pairing and switch back and forth in inventory modes is also included. Unit is light and ergonomic with TPU construction- doesn't feel "cheap" but also doesn't feel rugged; however, manufacturer claims it withstands repeated 6ft. (1.8m) drops to concrete floor. I have yet to test that claim. LOL! Had an issue when uploading a batch scan ("Inventory Mode") via my laptop to our Cloud-based inventory program where the data transmission speed was too fast and caused an import error. Sent an email to their customer support department at 2:04 pm on Wednesday; received a response at 4:04 pm with detailed, thorough instructions on how to resolve it, complete with the latest firmware files, their bootloader and updated user manual as attachments. After following her step-by-step instructions, I was able to adjust the data transmission speed to 64ms and voila! Batch scan import worked perfectly!! Apparently the firmware update added the ability to adjust the data transmission speed from 0ms (default) to 128ms. Haven't had it long enough to attest to battery life or durability, but based on what I've experienced thus far, I am very happy with this purchase and have no doubt it will perform as advertised for many years to come. *Note: wrist strap in my pictures did not come with the unit, although I did suggest to customer service that they consider including one in future packaging.
