Lady in Red: Collection

I enjoy Chris de Burgh music and my favorite is Lady in Red. It's a wonderful addition to my music collection.

I'm actually a new fan of Chris de Burgh''s music. If your're from the United States like I am, then you may only be familiar with his big US (and worldwide) hit "Lady In Red."However, as this compilation demonstrates Chris is so much more than one hit. This CD is full of his genius. Songs such as "Missing You", "When I Think of You", "Say Goodbye To It All", "Sailing Away", "Borderline", "Love of the Heart Divine", "So Beautiful" along with "Lady In Red" and the other songs on the CD are classic examples of his great artistry and this CD should be in the collection of all music lovers.

Having loved the song "Lady in Red" for years, I thought this CD might be one of those "one hit wonders" where that was the only good song on it. However, I was totally surprised over how many wonderful songs there were. It has become a favorite of mine, playing it over and over on long car trips. Granted, the genre of the CD sticks pretty much to the genre of "Lady in Red", but that is EXACTLY the kind of music I was hoping for.

I purchased this CD mainly to get "Lady in Red" but I don't think this particular recording is as nice as the original. I don't know what label had the original recording. Also, there are not many songs on this CD that I find particularly good.

This song is perfect for the first meeting & first dancing all night with my late husband & I. I play Chris De Burgh's "Lady in Red" and sing it for me and my husband. I wore the "Red Dress" when he proposed that fateful day - I didn't say "yes" or "no" -- just had to think it over. Well, I finally said "yes," and we were married 6 months later! And, we had 41 wonderful years together...

I bought The Lady In Red Collection mainly for it's title song that I've always loved but I was surprised that the rest of the selections are equals!

I ordered this CD for the song "Lady In Red" which I love, however as I listened to the entire CD I found that every song on this CD is wonderful to listen to. The songs are sentimental and very meaningful. Love this CD!!!!!!
