I purchased a CMC thumb brace for both hands and I am extremely happy with them. They are very well made, provide the level of support that I need, and are very comfortable. I appreciate the spare straps as well. I'm able to function normally with the splints on while getting the much-needed support. I have not used them to play golf yet but I'm looking forward to trying them for that as well. I do get a fair amount of thumb pain and so far these relieve the pressure on my thumbs immediately upon putting them on. Disregard the finger splint - I fractured it yesterday! 😉

I was reluctant to buy this type of thumb brace as it didn’t look like it would provide any support. I have tried several different types of thumb braces provided by my Orthopedist as well as others purchased online. Those were often cumbersome and the Velcro wore out and also would collect fabric or fuzzy preventing it from securing. Plus it just looked awful. I am currently waiting for CMC surgery in August and needed a support brace to provide some pain relief until then. I sure wish I had discovered this brace a year ago! Totally relieves the pain and burning sensation I was feeling at the base of my thumb. It’s not cumbersome at all, in fact I often forget I am wearing it. Plus, this brace allows me to use my hand fully while in the garden and kitchen. A plus that it comes with an extra strap and cushioned liner. I just ordered the pack of two extra liners as mine tends to get wet and dirty while gardening. I highly recommend this thumb braces!

I chose this over the more expensive one because of the price. I wore it to work the next day for over 8 hours and I had no pain in my thumb that day or the next. I was difficult to put even a larggrabbing e glove on over it. I'm an RN and wear them frequently. It has a small profile but it was still clumsy to do. Still, it's about the pain. I highly recommend this brace. If I know I will writing or gripping or chopping onions I will put the brace on and it does the trick. Also, my hands get hot, and this brace doesn't make it worse.

Be sure to use the size chart when ordering. It makes a big difference in the support & comfort level. I purchased the small one for right hand & it's a great fit due to the options to customize it for your needs. I can easily use the computer while wearing this brace, but haven't tried it yet for doing dishes, house & garden tasks. The little undersleeve helps keep the brace comfortable and it doesn't rub. I'm going to recommend this brace to daughter because she's having thumb pain from playing the guitar and general overuse. It seems much more helpful than the flimsy brace she's using now.

Despite the new design, mine separated at the base of the thumb after 7 months of wear. The soft plastic came apart from the hard plastic. It was fairly comfortable and I needed the inner sleeve to keep the plastic from irritating my skin. The sleeve worked well.

this is an excellent product & definitely provides relief & allows me to housework go to the gym walk my dog & drive my car with NO PAIN!!! my OT therapist highly recommended this product!

This made my pain worse rather than relieving it. I'm sure that's partly because I can't get the embedded metal strip bent correctly. It ends up either squared off or too tight. The section that angles up towards the fingers prevents me from gripping for very long at all. It's impossible to clean or crochet for more than 10-15 minutes at a time before needing to remove it and massage my hand. It was really easy to dry after washing dishes, though, and it's easy to take off and put back on.The compression sleeve included is way too small, despite my hand measuring smack dab within the range for the size I ordered. It causes my thumb to turn red and swell, which further limits mobility. This has improved with multiple wearings, but the small amount of support it provides is not worth losing blood flow.I did wear both pieces separately to make sure it wasn't one or the other, and they definitely compound on one another.I will be returning this and going back to my bulky brace which impedes my grip without hurting me to do it.

It needs to cover the base of the thumb more to be effective for me. Too much hassle for me to return at the time so I ate the cost. I can't use it. ...btw, I have small hands.
