The Gen 1 and 2 regular AirPods had longer stems. This is the 3rd Generation AirPods which have a shorter stem like the AirPods Pros. AirPod pros just have the silicone tips for noise cancellation.

Is it worth getting the Apple pros ? Or are these just as good?

Compare the specs between the two and decide if the price tag is worth the cost difference to you. From a pure comfort standpoint, I personally don’t like the AirPod Pro because the rubber tips make them uncomfortable and they feel like I’m wearing earplugs. I feel that the AirPods 3 do everything I need and the spatial audio feature is awesome. Plus one charge gets me through my entire work day. That means I pull my AirPods out of the case and have them connected to my phone or MacBook from 6am to 3pm taking 7-8 conference calls every day without having to put them back in the case to recharge.
